Cafu in his prime was the beastest beast ever, everywhere. Roma, Brazil, Milan. Even better than the best Dani Alves or Maicon in 2009-10. For sure the best FB I've ever seen playing. He had timing, shooting, stamina, speed, passing, defending... And was also quite classy and cool on the pitch. No wonder someone consider him the best RB in history. Always been a fan of him, TBH, even if he was in the team of shitdogs that stole us the Scudetto in 2000-01.

Lahm is great and if we judge performance-wise, he was probably one of the best players in the world in 2013, if not the best, and has had a great World Cup for sure, but he's not at his levels.

Lahm is an exceptional FB in a Football world of bad to mediocre FBs. In Brazil we have a saying that goes something like this 'Among the blind a one-eyed man is a God'.

Glenn Johnson is the perfect example how to be a FB today you don't need talent and skills but physical attributes only.

Cafú is not even the best Brazilian, let alone the best RB of all time. He had a better career and was lucky to be part of a more successful Seleção generation but if you judge talent alone, Jorginho was the better player and Carlos Alberto before him.

Lahm will be an awesome Manager specially in being a serious tactician

Yeah levels back then were so much higher. Lahm has everything to succeed in any era. He's not Glen Johnson, not sure why people even bring him up.

Yeah, but he's definitely the best RB of the "modern era"... The fact is that the best right backs (and also left backs, to a lesser extent) in the history are mostly Brazilian dudes. :D

Yeah, that was just a piece of his skills. Amazing player.

Oy. Talk about going backwards instead of forwards... good luck, mate.
Mourinho will probably be our coach for the next WC but for now that's all we have. It's not like there's a huge gap between Brazilian managers, unfortunately they're all shit. I hope at least that he focus on young prospects like Coutinho, Firmino, Gabriel, Mário Fernandes, Dória...
