I hope Belgium chokes. There's something I don't like about their team.
Could it possibly be their dacdical flow? :boh:

What do you guys think of Uruguay's chances?

Semi-finalist four years ago, won a Copa America after that but they looked far from their former self at the CC and during the qualifiers.

I really hope France and Uruguay can stunt, I love their National Teams.
Uruguay are always going to be dangerous with Suarez and Cavani. I hope they crush England. I see them making the quarters, but their journey ends there.

Errr, Cavani has been more a liability than an asset to date on Uruguay. With Forlan's ageing, maybe he will finally get more of a natural starting position for himself. But Uruguay's track record has been poor when Cavani starts.

Remember Uruguay barely qualified for the last World Cup as well.

Their midfield is a bit weaker than it was last tournament. It really does depend on Cavani.

They aren't meant to succeed beyond that phase, given the group they are in. Anything other than an unceremonious 1st round exit would be a massive shock and an unpleasant surprise.

brazil has a good chance for the 3rd place if they manage to avoid germany or italy before the semis
Italy will not beat Brazil. I believe Italy can beat anyone but Brazil. We saw how they played against them last year, they were totally dominated by Brazil, and that's just about how it's been everytime they've met for the past 30 years. As for germany, I just think Brazil has a comparable squad with the added advantage of being at home and having the heat on their side, as well as germany's nature of chocking.

What? Italy were without Pirlo and only lost because of the ref.

You guys don't get it, do you? South American teams will have a big advantage over Europeans for playing in South American soil. Not only because they're used to the heat/weather, they'll also have the crowd on their side. No European team ever won a WC on this side of the world and it won't be different this time.

Italy simply don't have the edge to beat the likes of Brazil, Argentina or even Uruguay on SA soil. Pirlo or no Pirlo.

"Only lost because of the ref" Who are you kidding?

There's always a first time for everything and Italy absolutely can defeat Brazil or Argentina. Never underestimate Italians.
