Apart from the elbow into Cannas chest witch was on purpose everything else was legit, play acting by Italy and it was rather embarrasing to see grown men fall down like they've been snipered.

Yes, even two yellows would have been harsh IMO. Still, the guy wasn't very intelligent.
I heard on tv that the refs are told to be so harsh on players elbowing for those fouls directly aim the players' heads and therefore might be so dangerous. He elbowed both Zambrotta and Chiellini and he should have been punished with two yellows for each. Of course, if the ref had given him a yellow earlier for the foul he committed on Zambrotta, he most probably wouldn't have elbowed Chiellini later :D

Do post out when I've condoned Gerrards diving antics?

Atleast he's stayed on his feet most times in this World Cup what I saw from Cannavaro,Criscito and Chiellini was quite sad today.

By the book New Zealand would indeed have been down to 10 men, the penalty would have been right and their goal would have been taken from them. By the book this would have been an easy game.

But come on... if you go up you always use your elbows to some extent, the guy could have been sent off, but it would have been a harsh call. The penalty is technically a penalty, but it's not as if De Rossi would have been anywhere near the ball and the reason he fell over wasn't the fact that he was pulled.

Then why do they jump to their feet two seconds later? when they know the ref isen't going to pull out a card.
That's a bullshit argument. I remember breaking my nose last season and I was down for 10 seconds, managed to get up and prevented a counter attack. They called foul play too, but I didn't even know where I was for 10 seconds.

I'm not saying that's the case here, just that you can't know.

Italy are greasy, cheating maggots who are always lucky.

Yay!
I'll call any player that does it on the field.

Why do you think everyone is against Italy, you seem so insecure and it's not healthy.

Zambrotta was far better than the other two. One of the only ones in the squad to be decent actually. I'd give him 6.5 as he was Italy's only constant threat and the guy's a fullback.

That's what I thought too.
Zambrotta was one of the best while Criscito and Cannavaro were bloody awful.
