Marchisio e Montolivo can't play together in midfield, pepe must play on lm, camo on rm, de rossi - markiz centre, attack di natale + anybody , why lippi can't play like dat??And of cuz, REMOVE CANNAVARO FROM THE SQUAD DAMN
People will criticise him for starting in CM ahead of Marchisio or whatever but he's been good in the last two games and someone like that on the ball is needed in the absence of Pirlo. Really calm and composed.
More like "wtf is Lippi thinking playing Marchisio on the wing???"

It's useless to talk about what Lippi should have done but he had two good seasons to think about a replacement for Cannavaro looking at the disastrous seasons he had. It's now risky to trust a guy like Bonucci when you are playing in the World Cup but Lippi had all the time in the world to let him get experienced as a CB. Cassano, Miccoli, Totti, etc ... Noone could have helped a team which is defensively reliable on a player like Cannavaro.

Great result for NZ. It was a brave defensive performance, but that's going a little overboard. They scored on their only shot on goal, and that one was probably offside.
Mohad, honestly I think it was not an offside, their player didn't touch the ball before Cannavaro.
Anyhow I'm very sad but that can't change my opinion on this game.

I think the last two times are replays? But still...what a guy. I wanna see them win it just because of him. Pele would drop 6 feet under immediately. Fun times. :D
And FIFA? They can't stand him (Although, he does talk crap all the time about them, so I can understand them :D) and it will be sooooooo cool Diego to be the hero of the main competition FIFA is organizing.

Btw, Team France is now refusing to train. The FFF should just fire Domenech ASAP and let the assistant coaches run the show.

the coaches all quit :D that's what prompted the players not to train. Apparently Evra submitted a letter to the FFF signed by all the players complaining that they weren't consulted about the Anelka situation

The goal was definitely offside and Fallon deserved a red,but that doesn't change the fact that Italy played poor, especially in the 2nd half.

Di Natale never impressed with the Azzurri, don't really get why Lippi is so obsessed with him.Mediocre player.

It's absolutely hilarious. They are a disgrace to their nation, infinitely more than the Zizou headbutt.

Evra: "We are now a small footballing nation."

And De Rossi took a dive to win the PK. It was pretty even on the poor calls.

If it was 2-0 or 3-0 for us than it wouldn't be so important.

Stop ruining the impression that Italy were robbed. If you don't mention it, I don't mention it and nobody mentions it, after 8 years we will only know that the refs robbed Italy in 2010 and that's why they didn't win the WC.

As it happened with Korea in 2002.
