Not a source you would understand I'm afraid (it's in Dutch).

During the programs covering the opening games, there was an Adidas representative in the Belgian tv studio. A lot of criticism was pointed at the ball because it was supposed to be even lighter than the previous one.

Turns out that it isn't. This one is 7 grams heavier than the previous one. Not exactly a big difference, but it does show that a good number of players may not know what they're talking about.


Has there ever even been a tournament where players weren't complaining about the ball?

Unlike other balls, you can actually see the uneven movement of this even on television. That, or I'm imagining things :p

Seriously though, I haven't noticed anything special. Sure, there are some irregular moments, but you're gonna have that with every (modern) ball.

Fact is, every time there's a big tournament, there are complaints about the ball. The Questra, the FeverNova, ... Always the same story.

:D I pretty much agree, there are not many players in WC, that have showed that the can control the ball, let's see how it will be with Spain. They'll surely moan if things doesn't go their way.
