HOWEVER I believe that such a tackle, aimed at the ankles, should in fact be a red with several week suspension. The fact that IN REALITY that NEVER EVER is a red changes the perspective though. Predetermined red card, just like a lot have been in this WC.

We were the better side in the first half and had more of the posession. That's all there is to it. The De Rossi red was deserved but the Mastroeni one was not.

What pains me here is that De Rossi is actually a brilliant player. I don't understand why he's such a dick. He's one of Italy's hottest prospects and an absolute necessity for a good Italian team.
