i dont understand why this argument even started, noone said after the match that usa is bad or something. your "dont tread" stuff is going to far.
Yeah, it's always our fault, isn't it.

None of the Americans here insulted an entire nationality, however it was only a matter of time before somebody posted their usual "dumb American" stereotype. Before that the discussion was actually good, but just like the idiot referee today, somebody had to spoil the fun.

McBride could be blind in one eye right now! Is that so hard to understand?

Jesus Christ you people.

dude he came on after 2 minutes of stitch time. he aint blinded or he wouldnt of played. bleeding from your face is alot less worse then a cafe or a hamstring injury. Your back in 2 minutes if you get hit in the face but you could be out 2 weeks in you hurt your leg.

that Dumb American thing only used by 1 or 2 persons, but you equally insulted us all for that, I didn't use any insult, and look at yourself.

you say as we dont respect your nt, but why you HAVE TO GENERALIZE, not all said that usa is gona get killed. i for one hoped for a nice game and hopefully a 2-1 win or a close win.

YES I SAW; some fans wrote 3:0 to italy and etc, but NOT ALL, FGS DONT GENERALIZE!!!!

Ok, lets see what eurosport wrote about the red card incidents, atleast they should know a bit better:

First derossi red:

DANIELE DE ROSSI HAS TOTALLY LOST IT AND ELBOWS MCBRIDE AND HE'S OFF! That was horrible, it was deliberate and he is somehow protesting his innocence there but he looked, went up and swung straight into his

my comment: totally deserved

Mastroeni red
44' Reyna goes long to McBride who can't win the header Mastroeni mistimes his tackle and he's off!! That was a foolish challenge. Both sides down to ten men, poor tackle.

my comment: that challenge was bad, yes andy and who else usa supporters, it could have been ended as a serious injury to pirlo.

Yes we could say, look pirlo is ok, but we really cant predict how can a tackle end.

Pope
47' Oh no!! Eddie Pope clatters into Gilardino and it's a second yellow and he's off! Oh deary, deary me, on the edge of the box, ten against nine. It was a poor tackle.

It was a poor tackle and it was his second yellow, he had been booked first, dont believe; check this then:
21' Long ball by Italy, Pope and Gilardino tangle and go down, the Italian asks for a booking and Pope gets one.

I am not trying to defend azzurri, de rossi deserved red. but you got to argue with fifa/uefa about usa players reds, not with us, azzurri fans.

Just look stats, there has been a load of red cards already before this match.

YC RC
1 USA 4 2
2 ANG 8 1
3 CZE 5 1
4 ITA 5 1
5 POL 5 1
6 SCG 7 1
7 TOG 4 1
8 TRI 8 1
9 UKR 2 1

*togo and ukraine have played 1 game, others 2 games.

A lot of yellow cards as well. you cant say that usa was robbed and didnt deserv reds.

My personal opinion is that they have gone a bit crazy with cards. but at the start of the tournament the reporters said that in this world cup, the new referee system will be used. yellow cards will be shown much more easily and etc. I dont like that, but i guess they try to control the game with that. Ofcourse if there are so many cards in one game, they aint gona get the control anyway, but well we just have to take it. Maybe they will learn from it and chanse things back to normal.

I thought we were discussing which side was more dirty with everybody complaining about how many times we fouled.

De Rossi's elbow was the dirtiest play of the game, so I'm having trouble seeing why people are biatching about how we were playing rough.

Do you understand now, Stephan? I seriously hope so.

It was not an insult, just a mere observation. Most Azzurri supporters here look very much biased. But there are a couple exceptions.

ok about which side was more dirty.

well its hard to say, yeah now you probably think that i am a biased italian fan who says that usa was more dirty. but no, italy played dirty. but i dont know, the referee probably made the game more dirty with his cards. but as i wrote before, mistake on pirlo could have ended as a injury. you expect refs to give red card only if player is injured??? Yeah usa player could have been blind and de rossi deserved red, but as it seems to me, you think mistake on pirlo didnt, why??? foot injury is not serious?? :confused2

EDIT
after all giving a yellow is called as a warning. But what means warning, a notice to quit the hard play, but if a player is injured and the tackle is bad, its red for sure.

I am not trying to generalize, sometimes you dont need much to get injured, just look cisse for example, the defender didnt even involved much. But if the tackle is serious and looks ugly, red for sure.

why don't you use warning here? I think Sebi and elvin crossed the line many times, at least it wouldn't go this far..

Like Stephen said FIFA now using a new refferee system, and we all can see that there is a lot of yellow cards for holding the ball, complaining etc. I'm not 100% with this new system trough there is a lot "stupid" yellow cards...

But let's back to game... The first thing I want to say is I'm supporter of Italia but I want to be objective as much as I can. De Rossi elbowing is really really disgusting he should be banned from the whole tournament, but also Mastroeni's foul was really terrible, as much as De Rossi elbow was unsporting, Mastroeni's foul was way too dangereous and he deserved red car for sure. Only Pope's red card was doubtful, still I'm not sure, I must watch that foul again...

Concerning the game America stared game well, the've had posession, attacks but they concede goal just like against CZE, when noone ecxpected. I must say I liked the way America play all that pressing all over the field, but also I'm disappointed with the way they scored goal... Italy was Italy they messed up again clear chance to qualify, and now I'm not sure they gonna go trough, but I'm still optimistic...

All in all game wasn't so special, actually it was pretty ugly mostly because all those fouls etc. The fact is that red cards definitly changed the flow of the game, and at the end Italians will must eat what they cooked (again).
