BULLSHIT !!!

Italy should never be dragged to PK's against Australia...

if we dont beat them by 2 or more goals, then we arent as good as I thought
I would not be so sure...I meen whan you look at the names of the teams Italy is the definite favourite...but shits can happen, let us start from the referee....

I would like us to win,no doubt about it,but I don't expect an easy win.

Agreed,I would like Toni upfront as well, but I'm not sure about Totti...with his "passing the ball to the keeper" shots he wouldn't score even against Kalac.

Anyhow,it is a bad thing that Nesta is injured. No matter Matrix scored against the Czech Rep,I'm not so secure having him in the defence.

Why a penalty kicks practise??It seems that Lippi is expecting that...
well with totti, i wanted to see those runs that he makes through the midfield, also he should forget abt those one time passes as the forwards arent as fast as the ones at roma.

He will get the space he wasnt offered in the past three games, but he has to be effective or Lippi should really give alex a chance

Matrix could be a sword with two sharp ends, he could be as positive as u want like the Czech game or he could be an idiot and do stupid things like the rest of his career:D

Agreed about Matrix,he is a weak link,if you ask me,and I'm scared of some stupid things he can do.
I would have no doubt and I would play Del Piero instead of Totti because he didn't impress me ,so far...anyhow I have faith in Lippi and know that his decisions are the best!

This should be a different game comparing to the previous "Hiddink-Trapa".

Australia are a good team and I don't see Italy beating them by more than one goal if at all. Under Hiddink the Aussies are extremely well drilled and organised and of course they have that competitive spirit that is typical of an Australian sports team. They usually play with five across midfield so I wouldn't be surprised if they have more possession than Italy.

I just read on Gazzetta that this is Lippi's probable lineup:

Buffon
Zambrotta - Materazzi - Cannavaro - Grosso
Gattuso - Pirlo - Perrotta
Totti
Gilardino - Iaquinta

Pathetic. Lippi must be drunk to play Iaquinta and Gila together....Toni-Inzaghi or Dp-Inzaghi upfront.

Why Iaquinta?????
Toni is much better option.

Sruart,it is just a probable line-up,right?

Do you have any news about Nesta and Perrotta???When will Nesta be available?
Yeh, it's only probable. Perrotta should be fit for tomorrow's game. Nesta could be back for the quarter finals.

Thanx man.
It will be great to watch Nesta again,I'm much more secure while he is in the team.

Good for Perrotta too,we need different options in the midfield.

I'm not sure if forward rotation is still a sound strategy at this point. I'm no fan of Iaquinta either, but more importantly IMO there should be a first choice partnership set in stone by this stage, and I can't see one without Toni in it.

That said Lippi does seem like he knows what he's doing, starting Iaquinta is a stranger decision than most but he hasn't let us down yet so I'll hold off any more criticism until Iaquinta proves me right.

i dont think that lippi is looking at alex as a forward at all, he is in the squad to fill in for totti if needed

Lippi does know wat hes doing and imo hes putting Iaquinta there to give italy a big man there as well as speed.Aussie defence is not that fastest.
If things dont go well i see alex getting in as a third striker to stretch the three man defence

But why isn't Gila instead of Iaquinta, for example....I meen they are almost as same height and Gila is not slow?

So Toni and Gila in the attack for example?

Yes, I'm sure that Lippi will put:

-----------------Buffon-------------------

Zambro---Canna---Materazzi---Grosso

Cammo-------Pirlo--------Perrota or Ivan Genaro

----------------Totti-----------------------

----------Toni---------Gila----------------

NOT what I want but I'm 95% sure that Lippi will start like this tomorrow.

Just I think that it would be Perrotta or Camoranesi.

I would like to see Del Piero.:)

I believe alot in Lippi, but this could be a huge mistake introducing Iaquinta and leaving Toni,Inzaghi out.
