Iaquinta should keep his mouth shut. He should be ashamed of himself right now. The LAST thing he should be doing is demanding a first team spot.

You got sent off after 12 minutes for being an utter moron, Vincenzo.
you are way too harsh on him. He didn't ask to be a first team player, even if he did ask more time to play, he deserves it, and I don't blame him for the red card, the first one was retarded, taking off the shirt, Del Pie did it too before, but the second yellow was a stupid decision by the referee, I can't blame him..

Can't believe that his time at Juve is over; hopefully he'll leave with his chin higher and not as unwanted as before. :sob: He didn't take of his shirt this time. :bigscarf:

Iaquinta: I kept believing
Tuesday 10 March, 2009
Vincenzo Iaquinta’s goal had given Juventus hope and he reveals he had believed they’d make it right up until Didier Drogba scored.

“Certainly there are regrets. It was tough against a great side, but we had taken the lead and it’s a shame we conceded right on half-time, as that was a heavy blow,” said the striker who combined with David Trezeguet to break the deadlock.

“David did well to pass the ball back, as it wasn’t easy with the Chelsea defence set out.”

He was a surprise starter against Chelsea and netted after 19 minutes to level the tie on aggregate, but Michael Essien equalised in first half stoppages.

Alessandro Del Piero converted a penalty to make it 2-1 after Giorgio Chiellini’s dismissal, but Drogba’s late goal made it impossible for the Bianconeri to recover.

“When Del Piero scored we thought we would score again and go through, but Chelsea netted on the counter and it all got more complicated.”

Iaquinta explained the tactics behind the 4-3-3 system, as he started in a trident with Trezeguet and Del Piero.

“I was meant to be upfront a bit wider on the flank and Del Piero was behind us.”

I don't see him in our future plans and I think he should go while his price is still high.

I just don't think he's good enough for us.

He's beast and I like how he's giving his best but he still lacks something.

If Trez stays I don't really think we should spend money on someone big or rather expensive to fulfil the 5th role striker.

I'm not sure if it should be Floccari.

Maybe it'd be better to bring Paolucci back and spend that money elsewhere(AMR postion IF Ranieri wants his 4-4-2).
