How is he racist? There are white people in his congregation.
theres no double standard here, hes complaining about rich white people effective rulers around'ere; unless you have decisive evidence it is unjust to label someone racist of all things. some of his views might be wack but he said nothing racist.
Oh and if this guy's view on 9/11 is shocking check out what jerry falwell and robertson said that same week it had occurred.
He's not a racist, Vinni. He's 100% correct in what he's saying about our government lying all the time. The part about the government inventing the HIV virus is something that's probably not true, but still it's something you cannot fully discredit right now.

And what is this shit about people being anti-American just because they say the government has lied to us? They lie to us all the time.

Man, you need to stop watching Bill O'Rielly. Now HE is a terrorist, that's for certain.

all I know is if a white Italian priest shot off the N-bomb regarding blacks, or "towelheads" regarding Middle-eastern people, this whole fucking place would be up in arms

the guy is an ignorant racist, and people must realize that if Obama gets in, than so does he

This is mostly directed at Andy, but anyways: I don't think anyone who claims the US government invented the HIV virus can be taken seriously. I don't care about his other points. They all get ridiculed by this one idea.

Yeah he's more of a side show, then a serious influence on the nation. No doubt though he has some folks fearing the next Nat Turner.

I clipped my toenails today. Word has it Andy would approve...

But back on topic, if every presidential candidate had to be screened for their associates in life, George W would have a string of coke-addled alcoholics. Reagan was pals with people who killed priests, supported Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden (against the Soviets), and on the racism card, the guy even kicked off his presidential campaign in the town famous for "Mississippi Burning". Abraham Lincoln was one of the worst offenders of the concept of "patronage" -- often choosing sometimes crooked "friends" for the political purpose.

Not to defend who Obama befriends here. But be realistic. To be a politician in this country and to get where you are, you're going to make some compromising friends and relationships along the way. To say any of those presidents above shouldn't have gotten in on that basis of their friendships and alliances would be more than a bit myopic.

Seriously, I would be more concerned with who a candidate accepts "donations" from rather than where he goes to church. It's quite obvious these days as to which one, money or religion, mean more to politicians.

Well, it's a theory that hasn't been entirely discredited. Of course it seems like an absurd theory, but just because this person may believe in such a thing doesn't mean his other points are invalid. I mean, I could say that I like to smell my own shit and people would think that I'm some sort of whack job, but that shouldn't be taken into account if I say the war on Iraq is about oil and shady money... because it's the truth.

Thoroughly ridiculous, Vinni. It's like saying all cops are murderers because Sargent Amauri killed his wife out of spite.

Now please man, don't hate on Obama just because he knows of someone who offended you. If we all had the same thinking we'd fucking hate everyone.

back to the issues...I saw the debate last wednesday night, and as much as I despise Hillary, I thought she was better. Obama squirmed the entire night when it came to the tough questions, and frankly, his answers were shit

Obama has a lot of skeletons in his closet....mostly when it comes to people he's associated with, and TBH, I dont think he could win a general election against Mc Cain- Obama is too much of a liberal socialist, which wont win him votes with the religious/conservative masses

You know, we should just let religious conservatives elect the government, because they know everything and are the best minds for this country.
