Btw it's true what you said Osman (I almost typed Obama there ), McCain grabbed onto Joe Plumber to dumb down the discourse yet again. Palin wasn't enough, we need to lower the conversation even more to reach those people out there who are dying to vote for us just as soon as we speak in their words.

It's so interesting to me that a guy who self proclaimed makes $250k/year becomes a mouth pieces against taxes, posing to be the common man. How many people in America make that much in a year?

You know, there is so much fear spreading around over an Obama Presidency that the people who are scared of him may go completely psycho. I have never seen such a polarized and extreme electoral base out of any election I've ever followed. Now since crunch time is here, true inklings come out of the woodwork and my Facebook is littered with updates of "Fuck Obama" and " ________ is thinking Obama will get a__________d." Lets see what lunacy appears over the next couple days. I have a feeling it's going to reach a new nasty level of epic proportions.

On the right to bear arms thing. Not any and everybody should be able to bear arms, that's just crazy. Burke is right in that there will always be criminals with guns, but if anyone can have one, there will be a lot more criminals with guns, and more "normal" people will become criminals.

There will always be criminals with guns because we live in a gun culture. If we started to become stricter on weapon control once the 20th century began, we would have much less of a problem. But since we have stuck our foot in the beehive there will always be a gun culture here, city or countryside.

I don't recall there being such a phobia regarding Kerry or Bush from either side of the lines though. Sure, both candidates were deemed as bad candidates, but I didn't see as much fear factor being propagated regarding Kerry being a socialist or going to some way help Hamas. The Repubs were just claiming the Dems wouldn't secure the nation as well as they would, and it worked. Nowadays they claim Obama will destroy the nation for all intents and purposes.

That's the level of fear factor we are now accustomed to, which can be almost anything thrown at Obama. Then considering the race factor we're playing with dynamite.
