Yes and basically make the dollar worth toilet paper by doing so
So? The Fed has already monetized the debt in the past and nothing tragic has happened. As long as Europe is fucked, which they are, surely the downward pressure on the Euro will provide some support for the dollar, no?

I would say trust Bernanke on this one. He knows what he's doing.

Here's the USA's defense spending for the last decade. It is getting out of control. You don't think it should be cut to at least 2003's figures?

    ---------- Post added 15.08.2012 at 22:37 ----------

Wouldn't keep any at current levels everything needs to be cut and reevaluated. Not just entitlements government departments as well. Department of Education is a definite
You would cut education, of all sectors?

    :lol2:

Say, speaking of cutbacks, what about the TSA and Homeland Security?

Doesn't Al Qaeda work for us again... in Syria?

We could always put a hold on those programs until, ya know, Al Qaeda are hiding under my bed again.

I would eliminate both of those and merge NSA with the CIA.

You have military bases in dozens of countries, including tens of thousands of soldiers in Germany and Japan. Don't you think that they should be brought home?

Alright, well that's nice to know.

Education doesn't need cut, just restructured. Standardized testing bastardizes the system.

The department of Ed man not education. There a redundant bunch of asses that merely dictate and have had no effect on the education system in the US except make it worse

Yes, but then they will be considered domestic terrorist threats by Der Homeland, so perhaps it is in their best interest to stay over there.

I'm fairly certain we don't need to occupy Tokyo anymore. Germany makes sense from a logistics standpoint.:D

We really need to stop spending trillions in the middle east.

I mean, I am a fiscal conservative myself but I think that cutting defense would benefit much more the American people than cutting social programs.

Sure, there should be some cuts in non-defense spending but to say that you should cut entitlements by 50% while not cutting significantly defense spending sounds irrational to me, unless you're a defense contractor :D

Social safety nets are somewhat important in times of economic strife. Otherwise the masses just eat cake.

Eliminate? That sounds like terrorist talk to me.

Merge the NSA with the CIA? Now you're talking. That should only increase the domestic spy grid, so I agree with this notion. I also believe we should merge both entities with the FDA so we can track individuals growing their own vegetable gardens.

I agree with you on this.

I was referring mainly to policies such as the stimulus package. That's why I'm saying that your government should significantly cut defense spending before even talking about cutting social programs.

Stimulus isn't entitlement spending. States had to ask for it.
