But why should you feel offended if this was done by someone you've never met and they have no idea you even exist and certainly didn't have you in mind? I mean it would be one thing if someone said it on purpose to upset you.
So I cannot be offended by someone I never met. Okay.

By the way, who did he (they) have in mind if they/he meant to offend or ridicule?

They didn't have anything in mind, but to stir up shit and get some attention and oh boy did they reach their goal.

No, you can. But it's kind of... stupid. Don't you think? Why should someone who doesn't know you exist care that you feel offended about something they said? They didn't say it because of you.

Maybe right now someone in Paraguay is saying that everyone called Martin is an idiot. So what? Why should I care?

Who says they meant to offend? Why do you assume that because someone is offended the intention was to offend? That's not necessarily true.

And since I've seen a trailer of the movie it seems to me that they made a piece of garbage to show/sell to people who have no clue who would like it. Which describes a whole lot of trash art.

everybody and their mothers know the implication of those actions, even rednecks
So you're saying it was made specifically to provoke people. Okay then, who made it? Why was it made? Clearly it didn't have a big budget, but it did have a budget, it's not a youtube one man monologue. It has actors, costumes, sets. Someone must have paid for all that.

And their only goal was to piss people off? Why would someone spend money on that?

Some one insignificant saying that isn't a problem.

But the US did attack some Muslim countries, and that is fine so long it's to destroy Taliban fundamentalists or a tyrant or a nuclear threat or capture some oil reserves. But there is some doubt or paranoia among some Muslims that they are just killing Muslims because we are different because they hate us for who we are. This movie may be like a proof to that hypothesis for some Muslims. That many haters spent loads of money to produce it, to release it for many other haters to buy tickets and see and enjoy. So they do hate us in numbers and it's not just about some Taliban or oil or mad people who want to blow up other countries; they hate every one of us Muslims, threaten our existence and gonna blow shit up.

This isn't a big deal to me by the way; haters gonna hate. And I do find Muslims going crazy about it embarrassing.

for the same reason one would use a racial slur. Not every action is a calculated well thought out one.
