True :p

For every country in the world. The double standards are amazing, people say Iran shouldn't have nuclear weapons because their is a bigger risk of them using them, yet the Israeli government who is probably responsible for more deaths than any other government in the past decade, there is no risk there, they are a peaceful government.
There are double standards even in this thread.

Looking at what some of the religious leaders in Iran believe regarding earthquakes, one cannot say they are stable individuals.

In my view, as I said before, at times I think all the Abrahamic religions are trying to get an "end of the world" scenario going to bring back their supposed prophets and saviors.

Brown won't change much from the last debate.

He will continue to at least match the other two with regard to the substance of the policies.

He will also continue to be out-done by them when it comes to delivery and appearances.

Shame a large chunk of the electorate a dim enough to be swung by the latter.

Because of our system (voting for the best liberals) i find it difficult to attach myself to a party, i am a member of the top three so i can get an idea of all of whats going on and i would argue that Brown/Labour are currently the best option to get us out of our current situation. I also would argue that the Lib Dems will be the best thing for us in 4/5 years time.

    You should watch this

the conclusion perhaps sums it up.

"...and if any politition tried to do what Roy Jenkins did 40 years ago; to change Britain for the better against public opinion, we and the press would destroy them."

    Fair enough.

I don't understand how the Press are seen as this wonderful trustworthy thing, while politicians are all viewed as being a bunch of liars.

So much shit is written in the Press, but heaps of people still believe every word of it.

I'm rather miffed at missing the debate this week because of a lecture.

I only saw the last one because I was skiving.

Yeah, I'll need to check it out at some point.

Still, isn't the same as watching these things live.

Are the debates actually being broadcast live or is there a delay on them so they can stop the broadcast if anything interesting happens?

I treat what both say with a large amount of suspicion.

bomb the fuck out of England just leave us Scots alone
I heard about those nuclear bombs that take into account invisible borders :D

Back on direct topic, did anybody see the Lib Dem broadcast last night? I only caught the second half, what was the significance of the metaphor with Clegg walking through lots of blowing paper into a sunny, clear field?

Mostly Labour, with a bit of Lib Dem and some 'none of the above' thrown in.

However, I'm sure I wasn't viewing the policies in as impartial fashion as is needed to do the test properly, as I knew which policy belonged to which party, by and large.

Scotland is more than adequately represented, given its population as a proportion of the UK's total population.
