That's the difference between you and Rossi. He wants to be American. And Italian. You don't want to be Lybian, Scottish, UAE.

To your citizenship point, it's difficult to change that when your nation is founded on it.
True. But countries like Britain were not founded on immigrants, yet they face the same problems, i don't think thats the only problem.

But its nice to see that you(a liberal) agrees that there should be some sort of limit. :D

Actually, the world does revolve around the US.
Still, i would like to come to the US sometime in the future to do a PHD or something, then i might stick around for a while to get US citizenship. After that i'll leech off your country without ever considering myself American:juventus:

You can't be a citizen of any country if you aren't legally recognized as one. Why can't you just accept that the world does not all revolve around the US and the world does not all operate the "American" way?
You're not understanding the point. If you lived in Dubai all your life, you're still from Dubai regardless of whether or not they give you citizenship. You can't just say that you're "from" somewhere else if you've lived in Dubai all your life. It just makes no sense.

To be honest, I'm not as liberal as I'm portrayed on here.

I understand your point. I don't agree with it. You should come here, you'd understand a lot more if you do.

If being "liberal" means thinking rationally about solutions to problems then I guess so. I have different opinions on different issues. I don't think it's fair to pidgeon-hole me into a particular stance when you've really only heard my opinions on a couple issues.

Granted I wouldn't consider myself as conservative as Andy, but I do value some conservative ideals. I'm probably moderate if anything at all.

The meaning of these adjectives have been ruined by the parties that traditionally represent them, so unfortunately these words are pretty much meaningless now.

I'm "conservative" on like three issues - the economy, illegal immigration, and personal freedoms/constitutional issues. But regarding the rest, I'm very "liberal", especially in social issues.

I'm the same, but traditionally only conservative on illegal immigration, but I vote based on social issues.
