Like his American citizenship is not worth the paper its printed on too.

Stop being so closeminded about this. Like i've told you a million times. Nationality is viewed very differently in other places in the world.

Why is your way the "right" way?

I will always consider myself Libyan, no matter how long i stay away from my country.
OK, but you aren't "from" Libya, just like Rossi isn't "from" Italy.

This is asinine.

We are Americans, every thing we do is the right way. We have come further in 200 years than the Middle East has in 2000.

Would you also consider yourself Scottish or UAE?

Okay, you do you guys think that Klose and Podolski should play for Poland?

Nuri Sahin, and the Altintop boys should play for Germany?

Mario Gomez should play for Spain?

Kevin Kuranyi should play for Brazil?

The Kovac boys should have played for Germany?

You're the one thats choosing peoples nationalities for them.

Me, i say its relative. If Klose considers himself German, and he has a German passport, he can play for Germany. If he chose to play for his country of origin, Poland, then he's perfectly entitled to do that too.

    :lol2:

You are actually asking Americans that question?
    Touche my man, touche :D

Everybody i know, would laugh if somebody said i was Scottish and not Libyan. Everyone here, would laugh if i considered myself Scottish even if i was born and raised in Glasgow, even if i had Scottish citizenship.

People here, like you, are close minded about nationality. No matter what your passport says, they will always consider you from your country of origin.

Now i want to know, why are you right and they are wrong?

Neither of course. I consider myself 100% Libyan. I also feel i don't deserve to have Scottish citizenship for that reason. But still, i could have easily got Scottish citizenship and leeched off their country and never considered myself Scottish. Economics 101, resources are limited, and more and more immigrants that are like Rossi are allowed to take advantage of a country's resources at the expense of real "Americans".

My point. Stop giving out citizenship so easily.

If he considers himself American, then yes he is.

If he considers himself American, yet he chose Italy. Then indeed he is a traitor. But we don't know if he really meant that or if he was just being diplomatic

And no of course i'm not Emirati. Mate, i know people whose parents were born here and who were born here themselves, yet they don't have citizenship and the government and the people don't consider them Emirati's :D

Taking nationality as it is - you either are, or you aren't - does not equate being "closed-minded" about nationality. Somebody from the United States who was born and raised in Houston and may have a grandmother who had Polish parents cannot go around saying that he's Polish. It's asinine. He's not Polish, he's an American. He isn't "from" Poland.

People can live in fairytale land all they want, claiming they're from Tatooine and Alderaan, but it just looks idiotic. It doesn't make sense.

The difference here is that you didn't originate from Libya, your parents did. You are not "from" Libya. If you have Libyan citizenship, that is fine, you can call yourself a Libyan.

    Are you for open borders?

    Doesn't matter. That's what he claimed. If he isn't a traitor, he's a liar.

Either way, he's a piece of trash.

I have no other nationality other than Libyan nationality. Scotland is a country, i will probably never go to again in my lifetime. Unlike Libya, that i go to every summer, the country all my relatives live in. The only place where my family owns property. But still, you're saying i am not from Libya. Astonishing.

Oh and i'm not for open borders. I just think countries like the US should be a little more strict in their conditions for nationality/citizenship. There will be a lot less trouble if that happens imo

    It's not astonishing.

I'm from West Virginia, I live here, and I was born here, I have a lot of family in North Carolina though, I go there every summer, my family owns land there, it's the state most of my family lives in....

But I'm not a Carolinian? WHAT'S THAT ABOUT?

Not the same thing. Thats all in the same country.

If i lived in any Libyan city all my life, i'd consider that city my home too.

Sorry, you aren't "from" Libya if you've never lived there.

This is like me saying I'm "from" Poland.
