We were serious about it too,no reason for excuses, our fighting spirit was present, and it helped us to make one of the best performances in the summer friendlies, our players did all the could, they simply cannot do any better than that,
against some of the best FCs in the world! Its simple, they just CANT do any better, for now at least! Its not their fault.
Considering the great difference of class between our team and the Milano clubs,
they were not so motivated to trash/crash us completely, they just wanted to do the necessary (minimum) work to get the job done, as they do with all the other lesser teams.
If they were firing all cylinders, like we did and had a whole 90' they would have crashed us completely, we were lucky to avoid 3-0 scores,(for now) i hope we will be that lucky in the championship too, we should avoid humilitiang defeats, as it might cost us much more than 3 points.
Our weakest spot is our defense,no news here, luckily we have the overall best keeper in the world,
Criscito proved he is not ready to be a starter but he is a very good defender,
we need a serious CB and he has to be, much faster than slow time, Andrade.
Glad to see Chiellini back and unfortunately had the chance to see even more of .
I don't agree with you :
  • Our fighting spirit wasnt there, unlike Roma game, after the goal we totally lost control
  • Our players (such as Almiron) weren't in the best form, and sure they can do more than that
  • There shouldnt be a great difference between our team and those teams we played against, cuz many players were absent from Inter and Milan (Ronaldo, Pirlo, Figo, Stancovich, Zlatan, Crespo, Vieira, Nesta, Maldini...)
  • why aren't Milano clubs motivated to crush us, we're Juve
  • I think our defense was OK, we just failed once at the offside trap which we don't have to use it, and Crisito was very good against Kaka and Adriano

I think what w need is:
Stop trying players in different positions than their's (Rino as a RW ??)
Play modern football (pass faster, one touch passes, different attacking techniques)
Send Iaquenta to play with the primavera to learn how to be a striker

i think our players were a little tired from the roma game, any given sunday we would of easily competed and even won quite convincingly against both sides, tbh performance wise, we were by far the most impressive out of the 3 we were more fluent in both games, against milan we were a little slow starting but again bare in mind milan were fresh where as we had already played 45 mins but we came in with a shout. my only calls for concern is iaquinta, im sorry but no matter how much i just want him to score or do something useful im left dissapointed and its frustrating how he could of sealed the win against inter with that near open goal chance which a lame donkey could of slotted home, and its chances like that that can cost us 2 points or 3, in a league like the italian we HAVE to take every chance that comes across, especially those sitters

You asked Andy if he'd ever played football while being ill. I'm not 99% sure he has. Every football player has.

If you and Stu had actually read my post though, you would have realised I said he wasn't just a bit sick. If he doesn't play because he's not feeling too well, you can be sure he's been vomiting all day. And if he's been vomiting all day, something serious is going on.
Andries is right, I have played while sick, specificly the flu. When you're out on the pitch you tend to forget about the the aches and the vomitting. But after the match, that's when you feel even worse.

And it's funny that this whole argument started because of my Illmatic statement.

i saw juve playing very well .. but i also saw that milan teams didnt play that

good .. as someone mentioned: "they did the minimum".

that dosent mean that we cant beat them .. from what i saw, WE CAN, and i say it with a big mouth..

yesterday, the coach tried to mix between the first line-up and the second.. he was smart to do that..

am sure in 3 days we will see another great match by JUVE, and witht he beggining of the season we will be ready to crush other teams..

am not saying we will win the "Scudetto", i just liked what i saw from the players..

Notes:
Criscito .. i see a great defender in this guy.
Almiron .. his defence is open always
Iquenta .. i dont see him in the first 11
Salih .. if he plays as RB and Camo as RM, we will do great job on the right side
Andrade .. "strong but SLOW slow SLOW"

:)

and its the risk of making it worse that most managers tend not to want, but like i said it was a friendly so really the importance of tiago's presense was small

So we're looking for a Defender to replace Andrade instead of playing next to him :D
    NO

in that case there would be two solutions ..

either the coach prevents our RB to move forward

    or

to make Andrade partner a behind .. such as:

    .......................................................Criscito..........................
    Zebina..................Andrade.........................................Chillieni

if Andrade is left alone with Strikers like: Ronalde, Mutu, Ibra, Suazo, the only way to stop them will be to use his body.. and he should be lucky to not get cards if he do that ..

Ok. here's my match report again. I'll try to gather the notes about the two halves against Inter and Milan.

Iaquinta: Shame for football. He could work as a mechanician to save his mother the insults she gets each match. Bad positioning. Bad shooting. Bad Passing Useless case. Cordoba made a joke out of him many times. 4

    :agree:

And the point of playing him to make him feel worse afterwards would be what? If your coach played you when you were vomiting or even suffering from the flu he's an idiot to be frank.

I never said anything differently. Tiago shouldn't play; I was joking earlier.

But YO, watch this shit, it's one of the best rap tracks ever.

Our weakest spot is our defense,no news here, luckily we have the overall best keeper in the world,
but Gigi also has his flaws, i ve always said he is not that able to defend penalties
and once again he was proved disastrous, i hope this doesnt mess with his morality...
Criscito proved he is not ready to be a starter but he is a very good defender,
we need a serious CB and he has to be, much faster than slow time, Andrade.
Glad to see Chiellini back and unfortunately had the chance to see even more of the Molinaro flops.(we miss Balza so much)
Iaquinta was useless, as always, Almiron was ok against high quality opposition,
Nocerino handled good the situation too, i hope Tiago can offer a little bit more though. Our team is almost shaped, we can clearly see that we cant have any real title chances for this year,at any case, we lack quality,a lot, but we have a decent team and we will fight for the CL position with heart and determination despite lucking the skills and quality in such a dramatic grade, our direct opponents Roma, LAzio, Fiorentina, Palermo doesnt look any better than we do know,
if CR discovers the word consistency at an early point of the season, this group has all it needs to take advantage of the situation...

maybe he is not, but he is the only one we have right now :)
