Juventus begin 2007 in suitably prestigious fashion. On the 6th January, the Bianconeri will be in action at the San Siro as they challenge Milan for the “Trofeo Berlusconi”. It’s the 15th edition of the friendly between Italian football’s most decorated sides, a clash which has never failed to set previous summers alight. The game has a winter flavour for the first time this year but that won’t stop the temperature reaching boiling-point at the Giuseppe Meazza. Aside from the age-old rivalry between the pair, the clash will be the perfect indicator of the condition the two teams are in after the winter break and of Juventus’ future ambitions as they chase down a return to Serie A.

The “Berlusconi” has become a classic of the Italian footballing calendar and - with the exception of 1992, 1993 and 1994, when Milan hosted Inter, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich - the trophy has been an annual head-to-head between the Bianconeri and the Rossoneri, ever since its inception in 1991. As things stand, Juventus lead the way with eight victories to Milan’s seven.

I disagree with most of you, this will not show If we do have some quality to play in Serie A. It's not like a big test, It's a game between greatest two clubs in Italy, It's not like an exam for us, we do know and do have quality to play in serie A next year, but we just need couple of changes IMO.

Will this game be televised & if so which channel(s) will it be on? Who has access to the channel(s)? Who can watch the game?
Only one channel has said that it will show it until now:

It is called SuperSport 5 SA...

    It's encrypted channel on Pas 10 & Eutelsat W4...

Liverpool-Arsenal will be in the same time, so don't get high expectations to see it...

60-70% changes means revolution, we're no Chelsea or Madrid not to mention we do not have enough cash. We better depend on our youngsters (Palladino, Bojinov, Paro, Balza etc)....we buy 2 or 3 players and I think we would find our legs back.

    Balza isn't a youngster :D

we do need a revolution man, that's what usualy happend when teams promote from lower divisions. don't forget that we lost a lot of players this summer and we didn't get any good replacements ;)

I just hope no one will get injuried because of this friendly.

At least it brings money (almost 1 million € to each club, if I remember well). This is the reason why we absolutely had to play it, even if in January.

Btw, in Italy, the match will be only on Sky. It's treated as a championship match (hence the :greed: :eyebrows: ).

I think most underestimate our current squad. Sure we need new players (our defense is horrible if you ask me, despite the fact they don't swallow many goals), but it's not as if we need to buy a new team.
