Lyon admit Trezegol interest Tuesday 25 July, 2006

Lyon have admitted they are ready to dig deep in order to sign David Trezeguet from Italian giants Juventus.
The French champions have been linked with the striker and their President has confirmed that they are seriously considering an approach.
“A player of quality is never too expensive and David is an exceptional player,” Jean-Michel Aulas stated.
“Juventus have still to decide what to do with him, whether to keep him or sell him to another club,” he added.
“Despite the high costs involved [in the potential deal], David is someone who scores 20-25 goals a season.
“I think we will soon have to make a decision which corresponds with our ambitions and our capabilities.
“We have until the end of August to study our investment strategies.”
Juventus reportedly want to keep hold of the forward, valued at around £12m, in order to aid their Serie A promotion bid during 2006-07.
However, it seems unlikely that Trezeguet – also linked with Real Madrid and Roma – will stay if the Old Lady start the season with a 30-point penalty.
