Juventus may be forced into selling David Trezeguet to Roma.

New coach Didier Deschamps had been hoping to keep hold of Trezeguet or loan him out as a last resort.

However, he may have to rethink his plans with Roma reportedly preparing an audacious €20 million (£13.7 million) offer for the 28-year-old.

Trezeguet has also been linked with a move to The Premiership and Juve officials may be tempted to wait for as long as possible to see if any bids are forthcoming from England.

The mass exodus out of Juve is expected to continue with the departure of Patrick Vieira this week, with Internazionale inching ever closer to agreeing a €13 million (£9 million) deal with the midfielder.

Lilian Thuram, meanwhile, is to put the finishing touches on his move to Barcelona on Monday.

The French defender, along with Gianluca Zambrotta, agreed to join the European champions from Juventus earlier this week.

He is currently on a charity tour in Africa but will travel to Spain on Monday to take his medical and finalise a two-year deal.

i know he loves this club, the passion he has is just amazing. I like trezi and i regard him as one of the best in the world. He is too good for serie B. I think the club should convince to go on loan, this would be great as we wont have to pay his full wages.
As he is the one he doesnt want to go out on loan.

I don't know where roma get their money from? They were in financial crisis, and they have a player with the larger wage in serie A(Totti) and now they want Trez.:disagree:

Roma line up Trez Monday 24 July, 2006

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reports suggest that Roma are set to make an audacious bid to lure David Trezeguet to the Stadio Olimpico.

Juve President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli had been hoping that Trezeguet would join Alex Del Piero and Pavel Nedved in agreeing to stay in Turin.

But the French ace could now be set to stay in Serie A with a move to the Capital club.

Giallorossi tactician Luciano Spalletti has already stressed that he aims to make two or three signings before the start of the season and admits that Trezeguet is on his wish list.

“Trezeguet is capable of changing the face of a side and everybody wants that, I’d love to have him in the squad,” said the Tuscan boss.

It is believed that Spalletti has put Trezeguet above his other attacking targets, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Mirko Vucinic, and is ready to table an offer of around £10m.

Trezeguet signed for Juve in 2000 and has found the net 95 times in 151 outings for the Bianconeri.

However, the Calciopoli verdict seems to have brought an end to his spell with the Old Lady as he is determined to play Champions League football.

Roma may face competition for Trez’s signature from Liverpool and Lyon who are looking to bring the ex-Monaco hit man back to his native country.

Trezeguet transfer talk too soon: Lyon chief

LYON (AFP) - Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas played down speculation of a possible transfer swoop for Juventus' French international striker David Trezeguet.

Aulas said while Lyon were always in the market for quality signings, the club were still formulating their investment strategy and indicated they would not be buying new players until towards the end of next month.

Trezeguet is expected to join the mass exodus of talent from Juventus after the Turin giants were relegated to Serie B and kicked out of the Champions League for their part in a match-fixing scandal.

Despite moving to quell Lyon's interest, Aulas admitted the club were amongst Trezeguet's admirers.

"A player of quality is never too expensive," Aulas said. "David is an exceptional player. Even taking into account the cost, he represents 20-25 goals a season and that is something you can't put a price on."

"But for the time being, it's too early to talk about a transfer. We haven't even reached the end of July yet and we have to finalize our investment strategy for the club by the end of August."

    No, I meant reliability-wise..
ooh. L'équipe seems pretty reliable. There have been some dodgy articles around the Armstrong alleged doping. And of course you have to be very careful when they mention French players/ teams. But that's not just l'Equipe, that's for France in general.

TREZEGOL must stay. He can easily score more than 25 goals next season in seria B.
Juve can sell IBRA if thats needed to keep TREZ. If TREZ goes to Inter or Roma then Juve must get a large sum of money plus co-owership or Mancini or Adriano.

I'm 75% sure that TREZ will partner DP for Juve next season. :D

if roma are willing to pay 20 million euro for him, juve should accept. seriously, this time next year he turns 30 years old.

just like many other players leaving the club, they are at an age that getting this kind of money is very good economically for the club.

thats why i think camoranesi should be looked being sold as well.

Trez would be a good player for Roma imo, more so than for Inter. Roma would do extremely well with him as he represents the sole hole in front of the Roman team.

Anyhow, if there is big cash in selling him then Id sell, i never really liked his stlye of play but he was always showing his loyalty to the Club and his love of bieng here.
