i always thought trap loved totti? Now he voted for Nedved. Impressed. Maybe Italy do have a chance at this Euro after all...
Totti is Trapattoni's lap boy! ;)
Trapattoni didn't vote for Nedved for the golden ball...
he didn't have the right to vote, for FIFA award he voted

1. Roberto Carlos
2. Pavel Nedved
3. Oliver Khan

as far as I know even if he wanted to he couldn't vote for Totti!
so there is nothing to be impressed over! ;)

1 Chance? Totti's been like this for ages. I dout that he can lean to shut up or to change.

But i don't think that we can drop him from NT either. Right now Itay isn't the most stable of NT's and talent's like Totti..... well right now i feel that we would stand to loose more by dropping him than having him and his poor atttitude on the team.

Unfortunately, its usually the case with most talented individuals. They've got an ego to match their skills. But one thing Totti has to learn to control is his outspoken undiplomatic social skills. He's a great player who stands to lose all if he doesnt work towards bettering his attitude. He's a very important pawn in the Nazionale, no doubt. But i always believe no player can be bigger than his team. If he continues with this sort of childishness he must be taught a lesson, which will only do him good. And maybe save the national team an attitude it could well do without.

What say shiner? ;)

Totti is a footballer, thats all he is, he is not a political figure and he may go about saying stuff, ppl do not like to hear but he is the speaking his mind and thats all there is to it.

How do you mean lose all? If Trapatoni is stupid enough to drop him because of that then Trap is a fool

Totti does not owe Nedved anything, they are not teammates in any place so he is hardly destroying morale, all he has done is say he feels betrayed by his national coach who goes everyday saying Totti is the best in the world and when its time to do it officially he goes and says Kahn is the third best in the world and then Capello, a coach whom Totti sweats for everyday also goes and betrays him by voting for another

Not saying both coaches are wrong but Totti has every right to vent his anger, we cannot all be the same and cannot all controla our emotions all the time so I do not see where all this condemnation is coming from

In his mind Totti thinks he is the best, on the field he is a very good player indeed and on his day better than most, so he has a bit of arrogance in him but to be great all athletes need that.

Is is not better to have Totti on your side , someone you know is what u see is what u get, instead of someone who would laugh with you and then destroy you whne your back is turned

Remember Muhammed Ali was lambasted in his time for being arrogant but he could back it up and now he is reverred, not saying Tottis is anywhere as gr8 but he is entertaining in more ways than one

Denco, im not talking about thsi one incident. It seems to be stemming from a childish behaviour within. Which he must learn to change irrespective of who he is. Awesome player no doubt, but that does not mean he has the right to throw tantrums and act like its his right to talk nonsensical things or behave in a manner befitting an arrogant persona.

How can he publicly run down coaches or players? It only goes to show his lack of respect for other individuals. Which is certainly not a good thing when you are part of a team.

mmm.... how far are you looking here Baggio?

My point.....I'm looking at Euro04 and there is no way we'd be better off without Totti than with him.

but why do you say that he stands to loose all if he doesn't work on his attitude? i don't understand

Well, irrespective of how good or bad it could be, im sure, the team can definitely do without him. Thats not to say, he should be dropped. Hes fundamental in the team, but he msut realise that just becoz he is an awesome player it doesnt mean his attitude can hold his respective teams at ransom.

When i say he stands to lose all. I mean more than a place in the starting line ups of the teams he plays for, he could very well lose the respect of his teammates and the youngsters in the team. And most importantly his fans without whose support a player can not go too far.
