Technically way better than Sturaro and considering we're sending Hernanes the other way, this deal sounds even better. He would start in our midfield at this point tbh. Him over Sturaro any day. Maybe even Khedira considering how woeful he's been.

Not like we're paying €50M for him ffs. This is a very good cheap squad filler signing.
That is the saddest part of this deal

He completely owned us in that game. It was one of our worst game this season cuz our MF didn't do just one good thing
That doesn't say very much, lemina owned our midfield in the pre season match against marseille and the fact we had such a slow ass midfield against genoa makes it all the more easier to shut down

Those look like 10kg bumpers... That means he is snatching like 40ish kilograms.

We in trouble now. This guy is a pussy.

I suppose that suits our mid. :D

Yeah, not exactly impressive. But apparently there are clubs at which players don't even touch weights. Up to a point I get that, a lot of attention needs to go to conditioning, sprinting, actual football and tactics, while also combining that with the many games a professional plays. I guess a lot of coaches argue that adding lifting to all of that is going to weaken rather than strengthen players.

Then again they do it in pretty much every other sport..

Did you seriously just write that a Stu-Cheesio-Rincon midfield 3 is what we need? You couldn't keep a straight face while writing that $#@! either, could you?
I dont mind. If you are going to field a heavily offensive trident, i dont see why we cannot have 3 strict DM behind them to cover their asses.

Or are you telling me that you want to field wet-Noodle Pjanic and darling Khedira behind those 3?. That way we will get slaughtered

If he's snatching 40 kg to compete in olympic lifting then it's lame but snatching that much as a complementary workout to what he does professionally, it is just fine.

It's not fine for a professional athlete to have that little power and core strength as to only be able to snatch 40kg.

And it has nothing to do with competing in weightlifting as Rincon weighs 75kg and the world record snatch for a 69kg man is 165kg or 4x what he is doing.

The university athletes in pretty much every sport that I have trained with all snatched at least body weight or better. The good thing is that the video actually looks like a video of Rincon learning to snatch and I am pretty sure as soon as he learned good technique (which that video does not show in the slightest), he'd be snatching near his body weight.

what are u all going about the guy's snatch for? as he said in the description, he is learning the technique

only on Tuz u can judge a player from a gif or in this case his core strength from a couple snatches smh

It's quite obvious he is just learning form.

But like I said, many teams where they don't lift. City is one of them for example, so is Atletico.

There are many different goals in power training and some can NOT be reached with heavy weights. So the judging is laughable at best.

If Rincon is a b2b he's an utter shit one, considering his goal and assist numbers over his career. He offers absolutely nothing going forward. I want my B2B mids to at least offer a minor goalscoring threat. Last season he scored his first goals in 8 years of top-flite football. :sergio:

Dude... Many different goals in power training and some can NOT be reached with heavy weights.
Dude, you are not training power with weights that light.

But my original post was a joke anyways. It's a learning technique video. No big deal. :p

Cah get no gyal with that shit

Yes, that is the superior type of alpha we need.

:agree:

Medel or death is my motto.

But honestly, why the feck didn't we keep Bobby P? He's twice the player Rincon is.

well, he does seem to be playing in a 2 man midfield for the most part of his time in Genoa and HSV, it will be easier for him here where he will have 2 mids besides him
