You misunderstood me.

That buffon thing was to show how she has changed in the last months toward juve. By that time..a lot of people was pissed because some members were affecting the forum with offtopic/useless posts. Liliana changed in that way... but now..when she at leats try to post more in soccer matters , she is attacked often because peole dont agree with her comments. I sometimes dont agree with her.. but not to reach those situations.

Anyways.. like u said...everyone here have tehir purposes and deserve some respect.

Agh..about the "exclusive club" yeah.. im with u too.
I dont think ive ever agreed with anything Lilli has ever said, still dosent mean she shouldnt be here.

Not quite true Mac. As far as I can see (look above, the blue sign) this is a Juventus(z) forum, the meeting place for all juventinis ... not a 5 o'clock tea party who's participants are too busy judging which players' hair looks better rather than figuring out what a juventini is all about. Of course we can't talk about footy 24/7 so occasional small talk is reasonable, but foremost you have to be interested in football to be welcomed here.
"The meeting place for all juventini" yet Milan, Roma fans are welcomed and 'new' juve fans are treated badly because they dont know everything about juve. I have nothing against Milan etc fans being here but i think all these standards that are required of people are getting silly.

"not a 5 o'clock tea party who's participants are too busy judging which players' hair looks better rather than figuring out what a juventini is all about."

I dont like it either but they deserve the chance to be here as well as anyone else. These people are usually new fans, a player might have brought them here but over time they learn more and appreciate juve more. I dont know.

Who here isnt interested in football?

And sorry to keep bringing up old topics.

What's wrong with giving reasons for leaving?

If anything, I find it somewhat rude that regulars who have left in the past simply disappeared without a trace or left us a one sentence post announcing their decision. I know that a lack of manners appeals to you Vil , but not everyone appreciates it
true.
especially that comment i bolded a few posts ago.i'm surprised at the way the mods ignored that.

jesus fukin christ,
isnt this against the rules.but since its vilhelmas i didnt expect him to have more sense.

Graham, I think that there are other ways. Such as PM'ing certain individuals who you would consider to be your friends here to let them know of your intentions. Also, the timing of it all has to be taken into consideration. Its not as if, all of a sudden, he decided to just come on here and say, "You know what, I'm taking a break, I don't know when I'm coming back......". This all happened after some very heated arguments back and forth, so there was a lot of attention drawn on himself, and he must have known this. So, by announcing that he's leaving, and doing it in the middle of a thread that was quite easily generating the most attention for almost a week, of course he's going to be the topic of conversation after he's gone, sort of a "Makavelian" theory, I guess.

That being said, every individual has their own way of saying that they are leaving, whether they just up and leave and don't tell anyone, or whether they announce in the middle of a thread, or they PM or E-mail a few people as to why they haven't posted in a while. Heck, that's what I did, although I left because my intellectual batteries needed recharging and some medical issues that I had to deal with.

But no one should be faulted or criticized for the manner in which they leave, should they choose one. However, I can understand why some people here are indifferent or critical of it, with the timing of the whole thing.

Thank you for agreeing that there may be something "morally wrong," though i dont think it's with everyone, nor do i know if it goes on beyond their posts here in the forums. so I'd like not to think of it as something personal.

It amazes me how you sometimes like to see these posts as personal achievments or ways to show "the wiser person." I have no need to prove anything about myself. I just give my opinion like anyone else. You have to know that not everyone opens their mouth for the purpose of getting a patt on the back.

Judging from this post of yours i'm intrested to know more about what make you tick, or reply..
I'd like for you to answer a few questions please... please dont be offended.

Do my posts intimidate you in anyway? Do you think they are all about you?
Do you really think my posts are means for me to "highlight how I am the old wise man on top of the hill...?" (which i dont think i am BTW, adn i'm thankful for that)
Is "getting in the spotlight" all that you think about when you post?

Live and let live for f*cks sake.
sorry, I dont always follow this mentality. No offense, but we have minds, and people have feelings. There must be at least a minimum amount of respect.

Lets not start this cycle again.
too bad you thought of this at the end of your post... oh wait, you still did click the "post reply" button after you typed this sentance.
I'll use one of your favorite quotes...

It's called a foreign language. You know, there are other languages out there than English...
Straight out of the rules Zlatan:

1. Language used
The primary language in the forums is English. Unless indicated otherwise, conversation shall be held in English. If you feel uncomfortable speaking English, because of poor knowledge of the language, fear not. Your level of the language shall be respected and you will notice it will improve as you make use of it.

That one gets flouted by some of the Arabs on here far too often.

I agree to some extent, but it's hardly "too often." not anymore than Spanish or Chinese. I've seen a few examples lately, (the airstrike kills.. thread where there was ONE post in arabic and and some dedication threads saying "congrats" in arabic)... I'll to my best to let people know it.

you cant say that arab is not used more than other languages. there are significantly more arabs than other members. and i'm surprised you mention chinese at all. never noticed it. maybe its because it's not installed in my computer and all i see are little squares. nevermind, arab is the second official language here :)

The Hablas Español thread is the most replied/seen one in all the forums so spanish should be the second language, not arab!
But there are much more arabs speakers than spanish speakers... :cheesy:

Just U,Jessica, Esteban, Jogge,Nina and Hydde, are the only ones who speak spanish :D

i dont think so... it's not about popularity... maybe i just dont notice it because i read it together with English, but i do see as much spanish spoken outside the "Habla Espanol" thread.

..........
