Ohhhhhh, so now what do all of you who defend Thuram through thick and thin have to say now?

That's right, not much. The man is an absolute twat and I have said it all along.

Seems to me there will be a few more racists on this forum besides me in the coming days. :howler:

What do I have to say? Read my post on the last page

Andy, I understand you disliking him, as you are a juventino, but from an outsider's point of view, his actions are entirely understandable.

EDIT: It has nothing to do with racism. You don't like him because he's acting harshly against your squad, but take a look at what Juventus did to him.

And this scumbag was our vice captain! :howler:
You show your true colours and that you have not an ounce of class.
Frankly you should be removed from your posistion.

Thuram was a wonderful player for us and great sportsman: he mearly states the fact that cheating should be punished. And as much as I love this institution, I agree.
For the good of football I do agree, with a heavy heart.

It was a statement best left inside his mouth, I don't know why he had to mention it.
I know it is a good attitude to always think fairly, but it disgusts me that our own player comes out and talks like Juve are slicky cheaters of serie A.

I thank him for his wonderful performances but his mouth should just stay shut

How low can a man get....What a shame.

and please for those who can't see anything wrong with his statement try not to hold your horses too much.

Our club is passing in a very difficult period, whether we cheated or not, It's not like It feels good to hear players saying " Oh well they deserve this punishment If they fixed some games" why can't he just shut the fuck up, can't he feel with us fans? like I said how low can a person get to.

We all know our club is no where to something called "innocent" but please Lilian and the likes of Lilian try to shut the Fvck up as we're not in a mood of hearing these kind of things. Instead of saying what we deserve, atleast try to hope us a quick recovery.
Good post. I would like to emphazise that I surely did not like his comments.However... I can't see why one comment in a newspaper can erase all the happy moments the guy afterall gave us...

Again, criticising Thuram for his message is unwarranted. Yes, his tone of voice needed a little more tact. But those who will read the entire interview will see that he's criticised Zidane for his actions in the final. And claimed irrespective of what Materazzi said, Zinedine was in the wrong. What does that signify? Quite clearly Thuram is a man who keeps pace with reality and sees the world for what it is. He would've made similar statements had it been for Milan or Inter - it just so happens that the team in question is Juventus. It only speaks volumes for his character to be able to avoid any bias in his statements. So let's cut him some slack. Either way, I agree with Espectro here - Thuram is no longer with us and doesnt deserve to be discussed as much as those who are.

“Zidane was wrong to react like that and I must admit it wasn’t the first time I saw him do so,”

He could've stopped at "Zidane was wrong to react like that" (period)

No need to go on...show some respect to the guy who brought him the WC and EC titles..

I dont think it's disrespect. It's justification that Zidane's not exactly a saint either. A fair one at that, given his own teammate happens to have seen him react angrily on more than one occasion. It's a honest opinion, and I dont see anything wrong with it.
