Juve red, I have pointed out that Camo and Trez wanted to leave, tried to force themselves out, but there werent any suitors or good enough deals for them, and the club felt its better to hold onto them. But this is CONVENIENTLY ignored when paiting this black and white image of heroes and villains.
I dont have less disrespect for Camo and Trez for it, in that sitaution, a VERY rare situation of a club sinking, with no future in sight (people were fearing worse then Serie B back then), its totally understandable players look after themselves in a pragmatic way.
If I respect or disrespect for those players leaving and staying, ofcourse it adds to it to a degree if they stick around, but the reason is vital. And if I disrespect or dont care for those leaving, its mainly because of what I think of them in general, and not judging them on that extreme sitaution alone. Zlatan is a mercenary who looks out after nr 1, everyone knew it, and he would leave even if we werent relegated, nothing biggy with him leaving (in fact he has praised the club the most of those who left). I dont like Vieira and Emerson, so I could give a fuck where they went. I liked Canna, but what I liked less wasnt him leaving, but his dishonesty of saying he is as loyal as Del Piero and will stay, hours before packing, was a low move.
Zambro and Thuram are quite unfortunate to loose, because those two were the ones close to being real legends, and long servants, compared to the others who had just been there 1-2 seasons. So their ending is more sad, but we would have sold Thuram anyway, and WANTED to drop him like a bad habit. Zambro is the only one I REALLY wanted to stay, because he was only second to Del Piero for me in terms of Juve legend back then (yes, bigger then Gigi and Trez). Was heartbroken. But even if I dont care about him after that, it doesnt mean you forget everything before that, or think less of it (its naieve to let that one thing define it all, I mean, I said it before, the difference between Camo, Trez and Zambro is, the two former couldnt find clubs, ans Zambro as the best LB in the world had it easy). For example, just because he left in that summer, and Zebina stayed, doesnt mean I detest Zambro and admire Zebina for some notion of loyalty of staying. On the contrary, its the contrary, despite the outcome of that peculiar summer.
