I am happy because we need young players like Mavuba
Frings is so much better than Mavuba and he still has good 3 years left in him. Fuck youth, if we want to be competitive right away we need instant quality.

Which central midfielder that we've been realistically linked with is as good as Frings? None.

Mavuba still has good 10 years left him.And he has potential higher than Frings.

Guys, Stu means that we've to do our best in the transfers to be competitive as we used to be, quickly. Yes, Frings is the best destroyer we're linked to according to what we hear daily and he still has at least three more seasons in his career in his top form. And for the young players like Mavuba, there is no problem for us to wait another season without getting youngsters bar our primavera players.

Mavuba wouldn't be a bad signing I'm just pissed because I really wanted Frings. He would have been a top notch addition.

f*ck!

ah well, I hope this just means we'll get somebody better.

That little bastard used Juve's offer to get a better one from Bremen. Clever but shows Juve have puppets as management. When your not 100% sure about the player, don't talk about your interest in him to the media.

If we can't get Frings then we can't get someone better then him. That's why this is so bad.
That doesn´t neccesarily have to be true. From what I understand he didn´t reject Juventus because Werder offered more money but because Werder is in his heart. I hope this still means we can offer good contracts otherwise we are screwed.

Exactly. It's an absolute necessity that we finish in the top four in Serie A next season and to do that we need instant quality, not developing potential stars. Look at Arsenal with their wide array of youth talent. Diaby, Walcott and Denilson have the potential to be amazing players but how are they helping Arsenal now? They're not. You can only afford to bring in those sort of players if you have guys like Frings or Vieira to depend on until those players grow.

That ' s frustating. We've never been beated in such deals. The point that makes me more angry is that frings was among the best in his position. And believe there's a very few available in the market.
Frings is superior than Gilberto coz of his passing abilities.

I'm Very angry at Secco ATM. He better come up with a good solution.

Frings isn't that good anyway... It's wiser now to invest in the younger less proven players, as we are in no position to compete for the really really topclass players. Players with enough quality to actually beat the likes of Inter and Milan. A Frings has nothing on a Gattuso and Pirlo or Cambiasso and Vieira. It's better to mould some lesser known players into quality worldclass players than spending too much money on reasonable players, just because we don't have the patience to build a proper team for the future instead of one for immediate succes(which isn't achievable; a waste of effort and money).

Patience..

Moggi was surprising us all the time Secco is frustrating us more and more. When I look at the former team we had : Emerson, vieira, mutu, ibra canna. I mean We lost a lot here.
