Honestly Motta is a good coach but I dont think he can be a really great one until he tweaks his formation.
I like that we are able to connect some passes but the important thing is missing - Nothing on the attacking end, no killer passes, no one twos.. Only individual brilliance from the likes of Yildiz Mbangula and Conceicao.
You cant build an attack solely on individual brilliance - There needs to be the setup first so you get team goals and then when things are tough you use individual brilliance.

Motta has a way with mid tier (financially) teams. Teams that are not quite Man City / PSG rich but have enough resources and pedigree to push for EU compition like Bologna, Lazio and Fiorentina. His tactics answer for mid level clubs. If we are satisfy with just being present in the CL and push a top 4 finish in Serie A he answers for that.

He is full of bullshit, sorry, Dusan aint even good with headers to begin with, he has only scored 16 headers in his whole career, which counts to 13% of his goal tally. Even Nico Gonzalez is better than him in that aspect with 20 header goals (26 % of his goals).

It's the confidence to win it back easily and without just closing them down, because we think that's all that's required. It's something we struggle with, unless if the opponent fucks up or we have the odd interception a lot of time we're struggling to win it. Loca's done well in middle to win what he can, Mckennie does his fair share to, the rest, other than CB struggle.
