His attack is terrible. You cannot win like this, its not possible. In fact, I'd say that I prefer Allegri's counter attack style. I'm sure even that had higher xG.

This is a new level of sterility. The amount of passing backwards and to the sidelines is as if we're betting on the match.
Remember the previous season(s) where you had lots of people saying that, whoever replaced him, it couldn't get any worse than under Allegri?

Yet here we are: we're playing worse & our results are worse.

after 19 games last season, Allegri's Juve had 29 goals and 34.5 xG, 46 points and 39.5 xPTS. Motta's Juve is the opposite, 31 goals and 30.3 xG, 33 points and 38 xPTS. more than anything I feel like Motta has been screwed by CB depth and injuries, I don't remember things being so bleak at the start of the season with a functioning backline with Bremer in it.

"There's never any spark or personal initiative from the players. They only try to replicate what was prepared during the week. The play is slow and predictable." Thankfully, Yildiz came through with that move, even if I’m not sure it was "allowed by the coach".

Yep. It's all very robotic, they stick to their positions, there isn't any fluidity.

I think you need to give our attacking players freedom in that attacking third.

It must be me, but when I watch our games I don't see anything to suggest something was prepared beforehand.

Fabio Capello: "My advice to Motta would be not to focus solely on one style of play but to adapt to the players he has in order to enhance their qualities. This applies to all coaches, not just those managing Juventus. It’s still unclear what Motta’s team identity is: at the start of the season, they didn’t concede but struggled to score, now it’s the opposite. The play feels too slow, making it easy for opponents to counter them."

Fabio Capello: "I didn’t expect such a uncompetitive Juventus in the league, especially considering the bold decisions made by the Motta and the club over the summer, starting with the sale of Chiesa. Some managers can't adapt to the stature of the club."

Bremer didn't score us goals. We blame the CBs alot but they maybe cost us 1 or 2 matches honestly. It's this pathetic attacking system that costs us way more.

Thiago Motta has not responded to Locatelli's request for a meeting, all. Players and Giuntoli

This is not great but I feel like when this stuff starts coming out it's normally from inside the club and normally a firing will follow that.

agreed, with one asterisk: bremer is probably the only player with some natural leadership quality. his presence gave everyone some peace of mind, while his absence made players shit the bed. it's easier to attack when there's a monster of a cb behind you who'll stop every attack humanly stoppable

but yeah we're too predictable in attack and bremer's absence only provides context, and should not be used as an excuse

if the coach loses the locker there's nothing else you can do. not saying motta lost the locker, these news are too vague and unreliable, just a general remark

but we have scored at least once during most of the draws, look at Inter, Parma, Fiorentina, Cagliari, Venezia.... We were leaking stupid goals in defence, I am sure that at least half of those wont happen with Bremer around.

So if we finally get rid of him - who’s a realistic replacement ? Guess it’s down to Mancini and who else ?

I won't pretend to be an expert, the product is so shit I barely watch maybe half that games we play. However for a month or so at the start of the season it was pretty exciting - team not conceding any goals, Mbangula breaking out, Chico looking like someone that can dribble, etc. Once we lost Bremer and found out that any quality opponent might score any time they cross the halfway line we lost our mojo. Should we be in 5th place, 14 points behind Napoli? Lol no, with or without Bremer that's not acceptable. Would be in a better place without some freak injuries? for sure.

I came here half a year ago and said 3-0 Nurnberg is unacceptable and members here were like f Amer.

Well who's there to f himself now?

Knock, knock?

Who's there?

Someone to f himself.

We all know who they are.

They're hiding now, but I can make knock, knock jokes all day.

I have time.

And history proved me right so besides the future I also have history on my side.

In football terms, his core ethos wasn't formed in Brasil or Italy. But Barcelona. Most forget he joined them as a child and started out as pro with them.

His style is combo of barca possession/Dutch total footie style mixed Italian tactical balance and bit of Gasperini/German type team pressing.
Knock, knock.

Who's there?

It's just Osman scounting Luxembourg seconda division for us and explaing to us back in June that Motta's style is combo of barca possession/Dutch total footie style mixed Italian tactical balance and bit of Gasperini/German type team pressing.

Wow.

Just wow.

I want to hear more.
