This is the price for coaching a big club. Everyone expects success straight away. I wouldnt mind giving Motta until the end of season, but there is no improvement upon last year. We are actually achieving worse results (12 points less) and half a season is gone. So how much more do we need to endure? We look the same in each game, he is not willing to change our approach, or some tactical switch up like Yildiz instead of Koop would have been the obvious one and he cant keep players focused until the end of game. We have won 42% of the matches. Thats is pretty bad. I care for results, not the style. Playing good for 60% of the match doesnt cut it.
As for Giuntolli, his most expensive signings are flops and it goes beyond coaching. When Luiz plays, its usually detrimental to the team as he is going from one mistake to another. I have never seen this guy before but when he steps onto the pitch, he never looks like the type that would be a good fit here. How do you as a manager go and buy such a player? I dont understand this. Koop is somewhat better but he doesnt look as elite midfielder his price tag would suggest. We spent entire summer and overpaid in the end for a system player. Atalanta is actually looking better without him this season and they have +60m extra.... Giuntolli's first real summer mercato? At this point it looks better he couldnt spend money last year.
For me it is: if we fail to reach top 4, both need to leave. Motta even sooner if results keep going this way. No point in forcing something that doesnt work.

Agreed. I would try a foreign manager if things go extremely south from here.
Unless we can get Conte to rescind his contract with Napoli, there's no point hiring another jabroni Italian manager for the time being.

Same. We've seen what constantly changing managers has done to Man United. Any new manager is going to need time.
He has been unlucky due to injuries, an unbalanced squad and a striker who has self imploded.

Klopp and Zidane are a pipe dream. Would welcome either with open arms but I can't see it happening.

Yeah, we simply have to settle with him and the players we bought, there is no other way. We should buy two or three more experienced players, preferably CB and Vlahovic backup to balance the team. I think he has done some good work with the team too, we are not that easy to press anymore and backline tends to be settled higher than before.

Yes, because it's not the manager only, it's the whole club. Probably the only one who could lead us back to domestic domination is Conte, as it seem he has some special powers in creating a team, can't name any other manager who can do it this fast. Yet he is one of the worst when it comes to European competitions..
What Conte did with us was really unexpected.
There were other factors that helped that season. New stadium, no European football, A great mix of new and old players.
Buffon, Chielli, Barza, Vidal, Pirlo all world class and then a monster like Stephan at full back.
We can't expect this to be the case every time we get a new coach. I'm not even sure than Conte could do this with the squad we have now.

Alot of them seem to want to be the new Pep in terms of having their own unique style/ philosophy. It's like a trend now amongst young managers.
And for them to achieve this it takes patience. If they change their tactics too much then players don't have time to adapt/mold.
