bremer's season is over, danilo is all but finished (someone really should tell motta), we can't not sign a cb in january. since bremer is out, we conceded like 5 penalties and a few red cards, and while chico's red was ridiculous and some penalties were soft, it's clear that we lost some of the defensive solidity

you're right about yildiz but if weah and mbamgula can replace him for a half or a complete game, then it's all good. nico and chico are more than enough quality on the right. dusan though, he can't play 50 matches until july, let alone 50 matches at a high level. he badly needs a backup
I was thinking more long term, I agree with you January a cb is a must but that will be a stop gap as most winter signing goes. Planning ahead for next season onwards a quality winger on the opposite side will take us to another level cutting down on constant switching and risking counters and because of that also giving our midfielders more space to work with.

Bringing on Yildiz turned out to be a stroke of genius.

Huge point and we maintain our undefeated streak. With Milan playing Napoli and us at home to Parma, hopefully we can close that gap again, as I don’t like being -5 even at this early stage of the season.
Massive point especially how we came back. I know we aren't firing on all cylinders but we have learnt this team doesn't really give up which is a great sign moving forward. Realistically challenging for the scudetto this year is great but it's important that we build for a real tilt next year. We are finding an identity again, that is crucial.

Hate his tactics, his experiments, his choice of line ups but we definitely did not have this fight in us for the last 3 seasons. This mentality change is100% on Motta.

Conte had a back 3 defense worthy of top 3 in Europe and a Pirlo playing like he was possessed, this guy has nothing but new signings and injuries and is still delivering. Huge props.

Nah I observed correctly. More draws than wins is good where exactly?
With many of your top players missing? Put Bremer and Koop and a couple of those draws would be converted to wins. We wouldn't even be having this conversation in the first place.

This is the second time in the space of a month where we have come back to secure a result against all odds. Another 10 mins and we would've surely won yesterday too. This mentality was non-existent for the last 3 years. I see this as a huge plus.

I see us getting better and better as the season progresses. So no, your observation sucks.

The real problem of Motta is that from a Wuxing (feng shui is based on it) perspective, there's mutual overcoming between him and Brazilian players. Bremer season-ending injury, Danilo washed up, D Luiz underperforming, Arthur non-existent. This sort of destructive interaction, a reverse cycle, is connected metaphysically based on cosmic analogy. But as the cycle can be analyzed going reversed, so it can be going forward, in which elements involved generating and promoting each other. Giuntoli should learn this and act accordingly. The first thing he can do is sell Danilo and Arthur in winter and stop bringing in Brazilians.

If he was at Bayern and he lost points in the next game, they would drop him. Because that is what a big club with big expectations does.

He is lucky he is at Juve where the club gives an entire season to a coach.

You’d think he has a track record of being a guarantee in us eventually winning trophies sooner rather than later, but he doesn’t, so sorry if i don’t share the same blind confidence and enthusiasm after what we’ve seen in this first couple of months…

Needs to get his shit together otherwise this whole season will be just another ‘transition’ year like the ones before.

Couldn't agree more.

Saw many positive signs and I like the team spirit and fighting never-die attitude that he got back into the club. But sorry, a track record of 6-5-1 from the season start is not enough.

For a moment there i thought you were also referring to his formations and tactics lol

On a more serious note, there sure is a fresh wave of enthusiasm around the club with all the new signings and youngsters coming up the ranks, Motta has been doing a decent job overall especially in terms of team attitude and the way we press upfront, but if we do actually want to make this season a memorable one we will need him to do a proper great job in connecting all the dots with what he has available, without all the loose ends that we’ve been struggling with lately.

If he’s successful and Jj is a winning team, then undoubtedly a lot of our players will be successful too and we’ll look back at this team and say in hindsight “but he had that and that and that” just like we do with Conte’s Juventus now. Somehow that’s how it works in football most of the time, coaches can be responsible for failure, but not so much for success

Agree. I think what he does best is fire up the team. The grinta is right there, which is what was missing most in recent years.

But his head scratching subs without accompanying tactical changes are frustrating. Remember he's not just learning the team but he's discovering them. A lot of young players who don't even know themselves all that well yet.

We scored 4 goals in open play against Inter at Sansiro while having many key players injured and being 2 goals behind. If only our stupid defenders stopped giving away cheap penalties, 4 goals would have been enough to defeat Inter or any other team in the world.

We used to have 8-9 WC players in our line up 10 years ago. What about now? Not a single WC player in our lineup last night. That's why I'm happy with the process we have made under Motta.

May i remind you sir that this summer we invested roughly 200 million during the transfer market.

Why don't we have those players in your opinion then?

Well that is a question for Junktoli, isn't it?

And let me remind you that even in our best days, when this club was European powerhouse, we usually didn't have even close to 200 million for investment in a single transfer market.

That just shows you where we are today with Junktoli and Motta in the house.
