May i remind you sir that this summer we invested roughly 200 million during the transfer market.

Why don't we have those players in your opinion then?

Well that is a question for Junktoli, isn't it?

And let me remind you that even in our best days, when this club was European powerhouse, we usually didn't have even close to 200 million for investment in a single transfer market.

That just shows you where we are today with Junktoli and Motta in the house.
We actually spent like 63m only when u count the sales. We had bigger spendings in 18/19, 19/20, 21/22. 200m is nothing in today market, if u want to make a weak team a strong one.

Here we go again.

And also, finally, after 20 years in this forum I have heard someone saying that 200 million is nothing in the market.

I have heard everything now.

I can excuse myself finally and start digging my own digital grave to rest in peace.

Well thank you sir.

I will stick around for a little while though, as a football dinosaur fan as I am, to remind you and the like what big expectations of a European powerhouse called Juventus used to be and should be.
Well then from one dinosaur to another let me tell you to lower your expectations. This isn’t the same sport we grew up watching both from a technical point of view and what money really did to it. Once you realize this will never be the Juventus of old you’ll be happier.

Regarding this current team, everything is context. You have to consider where we’re coming from. Agnelli went from taking us to the stars to dragging our asses through the mud before his time was over. We played the most unpleasant football I’ve ever seen for several seasons. Players looked checked out. As cliche as it sounds we’re really trying to rebuild and imo it’s positive so far.

There will be many bumps on the way to being competitive in Europe and ruling Italy again.

For a moment there i thought you were also referring to his formations and tactics lol

On a more serious note, there sure is a fresh wave of enthusiasm around the club with all the new signings and youngsters coming up the ranks, Motta has been doing a decent job overall especially in terms of team attitude and the way we press upfront, but if we do actually want to make this season a memorable one we will need him to do a proper great job in connecting all the dots with what he has available, without all the loose ends that we’ve been struggling with lately.
Love the post and I'm very enthused about the season so far. Okay maybe questions on Motta and his starting 11 choices, but was so tired of Max relying on veterans who couldn't cut it anymore. At least Motta is coaching up the young players and seeing what he has going forward.

With many of your top players missing? Put Bremer and Koop and a couple of those draws would be converted to wins. We wouldn't even be having this conversation in the first place.

This is the second time in the space of a month where we have come back to secure a result against all odds. Another 10 mins and we would've surely won yesterday too. This mentality was non-existent for the last 3 years. I see this as a huge plus.

I see us getting better and better as the season progresses. So no, your observation sucks.
My friend I agree with you about the attitude and positivity that he brought. I welcome that.

I want to remind you he had full squad earlier in season and team still drew back to back matches.

I hope I’m wrong and he delivers. There is few positive signs out there for sure , but the draws need to stop. Comebacks like the inter match always welcome though

Alessio Tacchinardi: "Juventus has a coach with personality. He often changes the lineup and plays those who aren’t fully fit, resting those who are. He had the guts to substitute Vlahovic when they were down 2 goals. I’m impressed. This is a different Juve compared to the previous season.” (@Mediasetitalia)

If he was at Bayern and he lost points in the next game, they would drop him. Because that is what a big club with big expectations does.

He is lucky he is at Juve where the club gives an entire season to a coach.
lol Bayern hired a coach that got relegated last season. And they just got smoked by Barca in the CL. Keep up, it’s not 2013 anymore.

After watching Max with his same old. same old, so happy seeing what Motta has done so far. Not posting as long as most here, but I sense of Merda hatred in regards to Motta? Max managing AC before us. Just Win Baby!

Haha yea as much as I like Alessio, most ex players should shut up about commenting on modern football.

Examples are Gary Neuville Longbottom and Roy Keane. Footballers like that were just foot soldiers when they were players who simply depended on their hard work to stay within starting 11. I’m not saying hard work is useless. But if you need 11 players working their ass off every game, then you gona be faced with injuries.

Inflation + volume of transfers. We have not really paid insane prices for any of the new players. Potentially got murdered on Chiesa but that’s about it. If he stays injured then even that transfer might be vindicated.

Despite wholesale changes to the team, so far the results are good, new coach seems to be settling in well with obvious improvement on the high earning dino we had before him.

Ofc we could always improve but so far this is not bad at all. 4-4 at San Siro who are clear favourites to win the scudetto is beating expectations

Why no world class players? Ask those that have been in charge since Beppe left who destroyed the club, not the ones who are less than 1 year into the rebuild
