You guys are unbelievable.

Coach delivers a victory and you shit on him and compare him to Allegri because he was sitting back in the second half.

I don't know what a man has to do to satisfy you.

For that season and everything that Allegri achieved with Juve, Motta has a loooooooooot to do and achieve and only then we can try and compare them.

Even then it can’t be compared for the simple reason Allegri was given a “ready” squad coming from 3 straight scudetti and a winning mentality. He didn’t have to rebuild anything from scratch, he simply made what was already great better. Credits to him for that.

Motta on the other hand got a sinking boat and is expected to keep it afloat. whether he has what it takes we’ll find out soon enough.

We might have played like shit, but until the winter break we were doing well on the table last year. Even if we win all the games before the break this time, we will still not have the same amount of points I believe. So these comparisons say and mean nothing (other than a good way to rile @Xperd up). The only thing that matters is where we end up when the season ends. I don't care how we play (I know a lot disagree on that front), as long as we win it doesn't matter if Motta plays Jihadball or brings freedom and democracy. A top four finish is what I expect and I'll be happy with that. Anything less and I think his job will be on the line.
(I do have to plug in one throater comment - Allegri did have a lot of off field issues that Motta doesn't have to deal with, so that should work in his favour. OKBYE :D)

I agree. I expect two things this season: 1. Finishing top 4 and showing tactical improvements from Allegri’s 2.0. Before Bremer got injured we seemed to be on the right path there, now not so much.

Having said that I’d expect us to play like a proper team and compete for the scudetto next season. Anything less then maybe he isn’t the right person for the job.

The team that went to the 2nd CL final was his though, not one that was already here and he just took over. He puzzled that team together.

Sure, reinventing Manbro as a left winger is a good case for that but we can’t deny Conte left him a hell of a foundation. We were easily top 3 worthy defense in the world around that time. More over everybody seemed to be peaking around that time too. We were happy and didn’t know it :depressed:

For 2016/17 season? That team was all Allegri's. As for defense, Buffon or Barzagli didnt need Conte to instill winning mentality into them. They won the World Cup.

Top 4 finish without actually putting in at least a challenge for the top spot is simply not good enough, and that will suffice only if we also go far in the Coppa Italia(or hopefully win the SuperCoppa as a sign of future things to come), as well as reaching the UCL knockouts and preferably not get knocked out in the early rounds by an inferior team… perhaps only then we can talk about looking forward to another season after not winning anything in the first year.

It’s a very thin line ofc, but lowering the standards to such a degree where winning is no longer the main priority should not be accepted as the norm, domestically we should still be immediately up there no ifs and buts.

Motta:
"Douglas Luiz is one more component we can count on in this away game: only Arek, Gleison and Nico are unavailable. The others can all play."
"I have enormous respect for the coach and the players of Lille. Dusan has been working well since the beginning of the season and now he has to continue working to contribute to the team. We have great confidence in him and the others, tomorrow we will go out on the pitch together to put out a great performance."
"Lille's form is not a surprise, their results are proof of the level of their team and their coach - they should be congratulated for what they have done so far. Tomorrow we will be stimulated by such an opponent, with the knowledge that we have to go and get the result we want."
"I believe that giving responsibility to everyone is the result of the work we do every day, analysing opponents and what we see during training: this is my way of reasoning, every time I want to choose the best players that I think will work best for the game ahead of us."
"All matches are important, even those we play in training: as Juventus we always want to win, regardless. However, it is fundamental to improve and give something more every time: tomorrow we face a team full of confidence, who have beaten two big European team and we must be in top condition and give our best possible performance."
"You always learn and improve, all matches have their own story: tomorrow we have to take to the field to put out a great performance, nothing more, with respect, facing a very good opponent."
"There are no favourites in today's football, regardless of previous results: I am sure that both we and they will do our best, just as I hope that we will put on a good show and that victory will go to whoever deserves it most. Talking about favourites the day before a match makes no sense."
"We are a young team, we don't think about the calendar or the short time to prepare for a match: we have a good spirit and dedication, both on the pitch and in training. We have to adapt according to what the conditions are, today and tomorrow we have time to continue preparing the small details for tomorrow's match. We are ready, the most important thing is to maintain the right attitude, respecting the opponent and trying to get the maximum."

Every time a Juve fan says he would be satisfied with top 4 finish I simply have to intervene and say what you talking bout willis?!

Isn’t it funny how much coping is being done by members here?

Back in the old days Douglas costa was a flop because he got injured often. Arthur was a flop because he got injured and didn’t show anything when playing

Now a days Nico Gonzalez is not a flop even though he got injured and missed two months. Koop is also not another a flop even though he has been injured and hasn’t shown anything to back his 60m price tag

So much coping and lying to their selves

You use to be funny, now you are negative, pessimistic all the time. Please go back to being funny again. :)
