I'll post here as well.

Witcher is out and it's getting great reviews. 10s all over the place.

As it's Netflix, all of the episodes are out. I'm starting tonight. :donedeal:

There are many disgusting parts in the books (council of mages -- all women) where they shit on men. I totally expect such in the series.
Well duh, it's in the books, and reasoning behind it albeit a weak one (as many things are in this series) is also there.

Dude... it’s metacritic weighted score is 53 right now...

Now fanboys on IMDb are giving it good ratings, sure. ;)
Metacritic is disgusting imo. :D I usually give more attention to Rotten. But meh, doesn't have to mean much until I see it myself.

I never read much info about the series. I don't know if it relies on the books. I don't know which part it covers. But there are 7 books, you surely won't see everything. However, you will surely see the popular things being pushed, like gays and women power.

First episode: Almost as if there was a competition, to capture an interesting plot and introduce interesting characters in the most dull, tedious and amateurish way possible. And the winner got to make the series. Not sure it's worth my time. Still many shows and movies to catch up on. Also horrible production value, dem plastic armor plates and penis head Nilfguard (?) helms. Literally looks cheaper then Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog

metacritic is much better than rotten tomatoes in terms of the weighted critic score. But both are rubbish. Just not as rubbish as current IMDb with fanboys giving shit 10/10 in large numbers

I've seen to many times that Metacritic gives 48-55% for the movie. In what world would something be that bad? Imo it makes no sense to have such low ratings. I'm not asking for 90-100 but so many movies are way too low. Then, some super hero shit, gets the same. Makes no sense. I'm pretty sure that those guys get paid but the large companies to talk sweet about their movies, so they get on the red carpet. That's why I see way more objectivity for Cannes movies, etc.
