So lets say Benzema, Pazzini, Suarez, Neymar, Fabiano, Forlan & Huntelaar are out of the equation, who would you want here?
Torres, Gilardino, Vucinic, Rossi, Lavezzi.. Tevez :)
Gila or Vucinic could actually come..

On another note does anyone here think not taking up the option on Pepe and getting Vicente (29) from Valencia on a free transfer would be worth it? I read somewhere he was out of contract he would offer as great a threat on our left side as KRasic offers on the right. But he has his loads of injury problems. This season he has stayed fit though. Even if we got him just as a squad player I think he could offer alot more then Pepe

A striker with pace and knows how to use it! We need this as much as we need full backs. Our full backs can't defend or attack.

Our strikers are static. Things need to change. A team game but we play like seperate units.

He could have been a great player but isn't the same anymore, also his injury record and Juve is a disaster waiting to happen.
As for his injuries I think it is a risk worth taking inorder to have a quality player on the left who can score and create. Plus look at how Aquilani has turned out for us. I feel it would be smarter then paying the cash to keep Pepe who does not have as much quality. Like if we can bring back Giovinco and bring in Vicente for free .. it will still be cheaper then keeping Pepe and we would have alot more potential in our team.

We were 1 clear penalty away from drawing roma, without forwards, aquilani, buffon, fullbacks, and krasic just a half.

with a toni in form, we can definatly play top4, but the injuries must stop.

and tbh, IF toni does hits form and scores like 1/3 to 1/2 of the games, we shoudlnt buy a striker in the summer but spend the entire budged on two quality fullbacks.

we totally would still need a striker in the summer. we don't own Quag so we can't count him as our player for next season.. and DP will be another year older.

the sad thing isnt the penalty, we got blown away, Vucinic raped Motta. Ranieri is laughing his sick fucking ass off and on top we dont have any movement or the lethargic play. We need some dark creative Brazillians who actually move without the ball

Offcourse we will sign quag, perhaps moratti can negotiate a discount since he's injured now :p

Yes we got blown away, mostly because no creativity without aquilani and two holding midfielders, no striker, illustrated by amauri's sub at halftime, and well, no fullbacks.

The thing is, great teams are build from the back.
We have a good central pair, chiello beeing the best in the world considering his pace, our midfield is pretty good when they are all fit to play, but not having two fullbacks to count on really hurts the entire team. the wingers are forced to do alot more work, nerfing us going forward. and because of that we need more work from the attackers, at the moment beeing terribad amauri, and aging del piero who cant run the entire pitch.

If we get two quality fullbacks, we got a very strong organisation to build on, and in front there is quag, and a young talent in piazon.as prima punta there is toni. He is old yes, and very italian, but what good is a striker that scores 1 goal every match, when we concede 2 due to our backs ?

the budged to the fullbacks, and thats it. If possibale, some loan deal for a striker. cant we loan gillardino or something, if he sucks we can ship him back.

tbh, we only had one player who moved without the ball this entire season, Quag. How could his absence be felt like this, we've looked rubbish since Parma. ManUre lost CR and even those faggots looked less broken when their best player left them.

This is a chain reaction from the bugger problem : the backs.

we dont have fullbacks, so the wingers can contribute less in attack, especially when melo was missign, this caused all sorts of problems.
Then up front, the attackers need to work alot more and you need players who can hold onto the ball, and can move when not in possession. Del piero used to be awsome at both, but with his age, he be as moving as quag is. When we lost quag, we lost our link to the attack, the player you could give the ball to, and who allways looked for space. Now we have a very static frontline, and this is a problem.

Hopefully, having toni back, and perhaps martinez or pepe behind him will solve some of these issues
