I would take a pay cut to join this Juve. :shifty:
6 million pounds is alot of money if we offer him that, what will hurt Benzema will be not going to the World Cup and that comes down to being on the bench with Madrid if we offer him first team football and decent wages then he'll come I think.

who would u guys prefer gio or vargas?

if vargas comes gio is gone...
If it was a straight swap then we should perhaps consider it. At this point though, there's no way we can get close to the money from selling Gio that we need to buy Vargas. Therefore we definitely should stick with Gio. The guy has deserved at least a chance with us anyway.

Vargas for me.

However, I don't think Giovinco's presence depends on getting a new LM. It's safe to say that Gio's natural position is a SS or AMF not on the wing even if he's more than capable of playing wide.

Gio is just a reliability on defesne. Too small, get knocked off the ball easily, and he has pace, but not enough pace to take him to the next level, so he will never cut it as a starter in Juventus.

I don't see Gio's defensive qualities being a problem in a wide formation like 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 when there's a defensive oriented left back playing behind him (like Criscito).

Seba will need an attacking LB if he's at the edge of a 4-2-3-1...his tendency to cut in on his right foot will be greatly aided by an adventurous LB making the overlapping run.

Vargas is better suited to playing as an orthodox winger.

I think Benzema will probably want to stay and fight for his place this season.

I doubt he'd leave Real unless they told him that he was surplus to requirements.

^ exactly, they aren't exactly overflowing with strikers either...Raul will die one of these days.

Gio's lack of strength and defensive qualities is the reason why managers don't use him on the wing lately. Just remember how Nedved used to both attack and defend back in the days. Oh Neddy :touched: I think Vargas has some similarities to Nedved's playing style.

With a 4-4-2 formation, I think Seba can return to being a support striker or an attacking midfielder in a 4-4-1-1.

Diego will be the SS.

Any formation you play, you need a defensive back behind Seba. Our left side would be raped and torn apart if we have an attacking minded LB and Seba at LW

In Italy as a Midfielder you better track back and close spaces specially when you are playing for a big team. We will mostly play the 4-4-2, which is good for Gio, since this formation will decrease the amount of space between the players and they are much closer to each other, which mean if our LB is good at going forward and can overlap-cross like Kolarov then we can do alot of damage. But Gio still need to work on his work ethic, tracking back specially when he lose the ball easily

I'd rather have Diego as the attacking midfielder in a 4-4-1-1 so Seba would be a bench player in that case. The way I see it Seba needs to be a starter this season or we need to get rid of him. We either need to trust him to succeed on the wing or sell him and get another winger (like Vargas). I don't really know how well Gio would work on the right but at the moment it seems like we need to get a right winger anyway. That's why I'd like to keep Gio on the left because we also need a lot of money for strenghtening the defence (and hopefully also a striker).
