If we get Vargas and Kjaer, then our defense should be set. Add to it we can put Vargas on the left wing, and Criscito behind him. Our left side would be set. Then we need a RB, RW, and a forward. The thing is, our weakness are very obvious, and shouldn't be that costy and we do have some good quality players on the current roster and it is just a matter of getting the right coach with the right recipe, but some how our management is acting that the building process is big and we are going uphill.

:howler:

thank God you're not Beppe Marotta then...player coming off a shit season, and you want him to make higher wages than Buffon?
How many players come off a bad season from Madrid only to be a sucess elsewhere?

Yeah I would, paying no transfer fee for him would compensate his wages.

Vargas would be getting signed as a left winger.

He has played there all season at Fiorentina and he is a far better winger than he is full back.

fair enough...I'll take a guess and say it's about the same as Melo...25 mil.?
Proceed on the basis there isn't a buyout clause until you hear otherwise.

Melo didn't have a buyout in his first contract with Fiorentina, it was only inserted when he renegotiated.

you tell me...Sneijder had injury issues, and Robben was still one of their best players...8 mil. is an absolutely ridiculous wage, no way we should be paying that kind of asinine money...completely out of our wage structure too.

I said make him our highest paid player, which would be 6 million per annum.

The best part about the Vargas deal is we could have gotten him 2 years ago for 12m but we opted for Molinaro then Grosso and now will pay over 20m for him...

Worked out well for us.

hmm ok, then I think 20 mil. is a good price, not like Fiorentina would make an absolutely massive killing on it.

:agree:
He is real good going forwards. Can cuts in, cross, powerful shot (not as pwoerful as Kolarov), and has the attacking instinct that you can't teach. If we put Kolarov or Criscito behind him then we on paper would probably have the strongest left side in Serie A
