I rarely ever see Gago playing those defense splitting passes i see from Cesc on a weekly basis, and i am not talking about this season where he's barely played.

But really it doesn't just disappear. He must have shown that talent at least once for Real. Now i'm not saying he hasn't had good games for Real, he certainly had his fair share of good games, but never has he shown his passing ability to be like players of the calibre of Pirlo, Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta etc.

The majority of this forum was convinced we had the best mercato in Europe this summer (bar Real Merda) with Melo, Diego and Grosso. And I'll admit I was one of the people saying so. The players are there, it's something else that's lacking.
