have you watched him at boca?
No, but i think watching him for over two years in Real would make me qualified to judge him. Sure he isn't playing to his full potential in Real, sure he is a very good passer of the ball even though he hasn't shown much of that for Real, but imo he is still nowhere near Pirlo in that respect.

Talent is talent though, Gago won't magically develop into one of the finest deep lying playmakers in the world. Ability wise he is way behind Cesc Fabregas for example, and they are approximately the same age.

Deneb. So you want Gago to replace Tiago?

I'll go for that.

But only if we get a sweet deal for him.
he wants out of real, at the very least till the end of the season, he gets the ball out well so can work great with melo/momo

magically not, but with right guidance and a bit of luck yes. Cesc and gago are 2 different types of mids.

They are different, in that Cesc is much more attack minded and is more of a box to box midfielder, while Gago is a deep lying playmaker. But their roles aside, both players strong points are their passing and vision, both in which imo Fabregas is light years ahead of Gago.

Oh come man, you really think Cesc isn't a better passer than Gago?

I rarely ever see Gago playing those defense splitting passes i see from Cesc on a weekly basis, and i am not talking about this season where he's barely played.
