All indications show that Israel will begin to bomb Iran some time by the end of the year, perhaps even this month.

IAEA says Iran can make bomb

VIENNA (AP) - Experts at the world's top atomic watchdog are in agreement that Tehran has the ability to make a nuclear bomb and is on the way to developing a missile system able to carry an atomic warhead, according to a secret report seen by The Associated Press.

The document drafted by senior officials at the International Atomic Energy Agency is the clearest indication yet that the agency's leaders share Washington's views on Iran's weapon-making capabilities.

It appears to be the so-called "secret annex" on Iran's nuclear program that Washington says is being withheld by the IAEA's chief.

The document says Iran has "sufficient information" to build a bomb. It says Iran is likely to "overcome problems" on developing a delivery system.

This is just speculation, but Obama may be cutting ties with the Eastern Europe missile defense in exchange for Russia "standing down" in aiding Iran, whether it be providing them weaponry/intelligence or giving the green light for an attack.

Of course, one thing Russia can gain from an attack on Iran is higher crude oil prices. Their economy lives off of an abundance of natural resources throughout the country, so Putin could play this card to kick-start their markets. Israel starts bombing Iran, Iran retaliates by shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, hindering crude transportation, oil sky rockets in price.

For a minute there I thought you posted

IKEA says Iran can make bomb

I suppose cheap Scandinavian furnishings don't have nearly the revenue growth potential now as weapons of mass destruction ... some home assembly required.

Well, such headlines should help Muslim-Scandinavian relations a bit.

I think the stage really is set for this. The IAEA coming out to say this gives Israel the green light, not surprisingly. Might even begin this weekend when Americans are distracted with American football games... Israel likes to commence attacks when we're asleep over here.

This thread should probably be moved to the News and Politics section.

King Ale was definitely being sarcastic -- she can't stand Ahmadinijhad, and who can blame her.

Methinks that the 'secret' Netanyahu visit to Moscow was basically a warning to Russia to remove all assets and personnel before the pending attack.

I guess once Israel bombs the hell out of Iran, we might as well pull our troops out of Afghanistan. After all, their capacity to continue building oil pipelines to China will be completely destroyed. You can sure count on that.
