He's Malaysian, we're all just pissed the government increased the oil price by 40% overnight and taking into account that we're actually oil exporters it's all just a bit dodgy here, the current govt are so corrupted and the people are pissed wont be surprised if there are riots.. :(

and I realize it's off topic sorry
The familiar ramblings about the oil price gave that one out huh....

Actually i dont blame the goverment for the price hike. If anything its should be done much sooner. Blanket subsidy just give a third of our country's budget directly to the oil companies. Like our people paying taxes to somebody else's goverment.

I like the new rebate system as its much closer to the actual target group of the subsidy which is the middle-low income group. It can be perfected much further by checking income details of the vehicle owner with the tax department or EPF.

That way only genuine low income car owners can benefit from the subsidy. And the amount is a joke. The yearly rebate amount should at least be able to sustain genuin low income car owners in condition before the structure change.

Who cares about people who drive big cars. If they have the money to buy them, then they should afford the fuel to move them at world price.

Who i blame though are the speculators, oil companies, oil producer nations and people who make unecessary comments about starting a war or something. I think the supply are there all the same. Its the demand that are exxagerated.

P/s- sally. Its a mess with the CYC thing. i was looking forward to seeing Juventus thrashing Man United at Gong Badak.

Israel planned to attack Iran on April 17: Debka

Israel had planned to attack and "destroy" the bulk of the Iranian Air Force fleet during a maneuver on April 17, Israel's Debkafile claims.

"Israel was planning to destroy all 140 fighter-bombers concentrated at the Mehr-Abad Air Force base for an air show over Tehran on Iran's Army Day the following day," read the Debka report.

The air maneuver was cancelled due to severe and harsh weather conditions.

"Due to poor visibility and the appearance of dust storms (over the city), we were forced to cancel the drill for an optimal output," said Air Force commander Brigadier General Hassan Shah-Safi.

However, Debka, which has close links to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, quoted intelligence sources as saying that the cancellation was announced after a tip-off from the Russians.

"Moscow had informed the Iranians that its spy satellites and intelligence sources had picked up preparations at Israeli Air Force bases to destroy the 140 warplanes, the bulk of the Iranian air force, on the ground the night before the display, leaving its nuclear sites without aerial defense," Debka sources insisted.

Israel, the sole possessor of a nuclear warhead in the Middle East -- according to former US President Jimmy Carter --, has long strived to portray Iran as a regime hell-bent on imminent nuclear war.

    a) Iran's air force poses little threat to Israel. They don't need to wipe it out to attack their nuclear facilities.
    b) A training flight, or as the article suggest, cover for an attack, would not be called off because of poor weather. Not for Israel, or any state of the art air force. If anything, it would provide problems for radar ppl on the ground trying to track them.
    c) If the Israeli's were planning an attack, they wouldn't advertise it to all those who can see. Satellites can be tracked. They know their orbits and therefore can accurately predict when it's set to pass over a certain part of the earth. Amateur space geeks do it all the time. Israel, with advanced radar and satellites of its own, would definitely know when some1 from above is looking.
    d) Debka is the goal.com of the military enthusiast scene.
