My point being, Rebel, that the more you do things like take a discussion about China and Tibet and turn it into a discussion about the US acting like all other countries are sheep, the more you keep reinforcing sheep behavior.

If you become so obsessed with the U.S. that you cannot hold a conversation about other international politics without bringing up the U.S., you're guilty of the very thing you criticize.
Well, I did not mention USA out of nothing, Swag...

Read the next article:

It's not like I'm accusing USA of something they have nothing to do with.

But you're derailing a discussion about China and the greater world and making the thread about the U.S.

Look, I may live here. And I have my many conflicted feelings about things I like about this country and the idiots that run it (and half the idiots I live with who put some of these clowns in office). But one of the things I like about Juventuz is that it has representation from around the world. So if we want to talk about China, we can do that... and not make it some backstory about the U.S.

It's almost at the level of a joke...

Q: How many Juventuz posters does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: Five. One to put in the light bulb, Seven to dispute the inherent value of light, Rebel to say that light bulbs are a construct of General Electric to keep the U.S. in power and the rest of the world in the dark, Burke to post a photo of a light bulb in some woman's Maldini, and Andy to get banned for swearing at all of them.

Q: How many Juventuz posters does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: Four. One to put in the light bulb, Seven to dispute the inherent value of light, Rebel to say that light bulbs are a construct of General Electric to keep the U.S. in power and the rest of the world in the dark, and Andy to get banned for swearing at all of them.
 Spot on, though you could probably go at least ten deep.

Ok. I'm out of this thread as I think I explained my point. You know I did not derail anything, Swag...

I just commented about the hypocrite western media that called for boycotting the olympics in China.

Briefly:

"Let him who is without sin, throw the first stone."

Lighten up Reb. Look at it from our perspective. Every time there is a political discussion you bring up how the US is responsible. Most of us, Americans, support you and agree with what you say. It is quite annoying when we can't even discuss another country without you bringing up the US. Expand your horizons my friend, there are other countries in the world who are also far from perfect.

Enron says it, Reb. Nothing personal. Just that every political discussion shouldn't have to revolve around the U.S., otherwise we all end up reinforcing that mentality.

I mean, do you think I like the fact that my government supported coups to overthrow democratically elected governments in Central America in the 1980s?

We get the point already. But the ultimate subject here in this thread is China, even if it's been a couple dozen posts off topic here. :D

Ok, I'll try to avoid political threads as it leads to the same result for me always:p

Anybody who believes that the United States is worse than China really needs to get their head straight. First of all, we don't systematically eliminate our own people no matter how dumb and despicable they happen to be, and we don't pollute every single river within our own land. Sure, we are terrorists when it comes to foreign policy, but let me remind you China essentially funds the genocide in Darfur and atrocities in other parts of Africa because of their lovable PetroChina company. You think ExxonMobil is bad, look those fuckers up.

China kills their own people, kills the environment, and kills any sort of respect the Olympics once had. Everyone knows the Olympic Committee was paid off by that disgusting country.

God, I hate China. The only nation I truly abhor besides Israel.
