Lmao, amazing that this collapsed! Now ban all the clowns from this forum who were actually praying for this thing to happen and let's get back to reality. Can't believe how many big corp-cucks on this forum were actually cheering for a fucking McDonalds league with Arsenal and Tottenham, with shorter games and cheerleaders played in fucking Dallas and Doha. This was all a scheme for the rich to get richer, and you all were fucking baited and look absolutely retarded now. The emperor has no clothes.

I'll also give a small tip to people that were actually crying that we have to play teams like Cagliari and Lecce from time to time: stop watching Juventus. It's not for you. Playing against historic Serie A teams comes with the deal you absolute mongoloids, if you want your nipples tittilated all the time go watch the Premier league or better yet, switch sports completely.
Bravo, but as you say we are dealing with butthurt retards here who will never accept they were wrong.
CL is almost perfect in my opinion and I love Serie A. CL is more dramatic and entertaining than ever and Serie A is a goalscoring fest.
Over the last few years we have had some of the most remarkable games in CL history like Barca- PSG, Bayern-Barca, Ajax-Totenham, Real-Juve, Real-Ajax, Liverpool- Barca, which happen once in a lifetime and that's what is special about them.

How does a 36 team league even work?
It doesnt. Your team is in a group with 35 other clubs but you play only vs 10 of them that are specifically selected for you by Luis Figo, Steve McManaman and Rio Ferdinand from the UCL draw with the hot and cold balls.

That way you can be "lucky" and get to play half of the games vs the weakest possible teams and finish without a sweat in top 8 OR you can get to play with the top of the top of the top and finish behind, for example Grasshoppers or Ferencvaros or Slavia Prague because they played vs even weaker opponents and collected more points than you...

Because you qualify for it.

Because its more of a meritocracy, as sports is supposed to be.

How difficult is that to understand :lol2:

The selfishness in this forum is incredible
The qualifying format is incredibly unfair though. Some of the CL group stage teams would struggle avoiding relegation in top leagues, what are they doing in a CL group stage instead of much better football teams in top leagues?

To me current and proposed CL format is a lot worse than ESL proposal because it's:
a) unfair, b) financially crippling to the whole sport, c) makes the CL boring. ESL didn't have as many problems.

Props to Klopp and the players?? Fuck them most of them don’t want to reduce their wages in the pandemic and now talk about saving football for the people....

Fuck the Fans for protesting the league without even understanding it, but blindly accept a new CL format or World Cup in Qatar

Football fans are mentally ill, as shown by the the “righteous indignation” and “moral stand” taken against this. Lol

Bootlicking UEFA and FIGC and clubs like PSG for the right to continue playing a bunch of shitty, overmatched minnows every year. The absolute state of things :lol2:

Let’s be honest no one gives a fuck about the cl before quarter finals and how’s that going to change with 4 more teams in it and a retarded format to play 10 random games home and away?

Whatever let’s keep it the way it is and have 50 games a year (league + cl+ Cup) You don’t even recall or don’t mind missing.

They should do some more nation leagues game while they are at it.

The selfishness in this forum is incredible. Would have loved to this poll if Juve hadn't been invited to it.
There were qualification spots for the ESL ffs.... so again what is the difference in the 2 formats or have you been talking to those dumb epl fans again?

Football isn't dying you fools. Whoever came with that idea must have his head shoved in Perez's or Agnelli's anus. While football is dying Mino, the opressor of poor clubs, is preparing to make Haaland the first 1M/week player. Yeah, sure, real inflation numbers are scary - but I don't see players going to work with the bus. Not even in Bulgaria. So the whole notion that football is dying is just the old soup of 'we want more money' reheated.

Also football is a fucking sport at the end of the day. It isn't saving lives and is based on joy. The moment money becomes the backbone we are talking about another cartel - just like the banking system. They are licensed criminal. Like getting a fox to guard your chickens. They love to handle themselves titles - 'protector', 'defender', 'saviour;.... If you are not paying attention you might confuse them with Jesus or Buddha. The only real title is their bank accounts - they are greedy robbers. While on the topic there is another issue - directors getting more than players or coaches. Important as they might be - this is another travesty. Then again we are paying medical professionals less than athletes for close to a century now, so nothing new here.

B E A U T I F U L. This way even a SL side like Juve, with three consecutive eliminations before semi-final, might be able to snatch a win.

This is a story of great betrayal. It's impossible that before making the move Perez and Agnelli didn't ask EPL clubs "will you handle the pressure?" and those chickens didn't respond "don't worry about that".

The NHL has ~30 teams. Europe has thousands. It's close to impossible to Americanise football in Europe. Unless they take everyone along for the ride. A breakaway league from UEFA would be a lot more possible if they didn't announce a monopoly that looks worse than the current monopoly. If they came out and said that in the future there'd be relegation/promotion, that they'd spread a lot of money across the clubs not in the competition. Instead Perez went on air to say that he's saving football from the tyranny of UEFA by closing it to everyone else.

The sad fact in all of this is that the EPL reigns king again. The SL folks should have hired whatever PR agency EPL was using. To be able to sink a $6 Billion enterprise in two days is phenomenal.
Who really cares about thousands of teams? There are well under 100 teams in Europe that are worth a grain of salt and have a hope of ever being competitive in a top domestic league, let alone Europe where it drops to a couple dozen teams.

I’m not saying we need a full-scale North American League system. But a scaled up continental league with a few tiers for the best 60 or so teams in the continent. Relegation/promotion can continue in those few divisions. Salary caps, revenue sharing, a better transfer model. So the talent pool isn’t diluted to oblivion outside the top dozen or so clubs. And majority of games are actually competitive. That’s a good thing. The status quo and bootlicking UEFA, the premier league, and oil money isn’t.

They were so naïve in thinking the pressure will only come from UEFA and the EPL. I think they thought they'd get the full support of fans all over the social media and they were wrong.

They should've worked way more in PR before formally announcing the competition.

What do you think UEFA is ?
An organisation that controls all aspects on football in Europe.

And make no mistake the PL isn't dying , oil clubs aren't dying , bundesbayern isn't dying , the other clubs not so much but who cares about them when you can poach their lewandowskis for free, real Madrid and Barca are probably gonna be saved by their governent.
But serial A is fuc*ed . You are just unable or refuse to see. Well it is going to hit us hard starting in the next mercato.

You seem to have difficulty handling numbers and concepts if you can't see the difference. Maybe you are projecting a bit the whole "dumb epl fan" thing

ESL 15/20 spots are guaranteed to founders

CL 0/36 spots are guaranteed to "founders"

CL 2/36 are reserved for clubs with highest UEFA coefficient.

I'm a against these two wildcard spots. You see, if a person says "I don't like the ESL" it doesn't mean "I like the new CL". That is a false dichotomy.

At the very least those two spots in the CL will be somewhat merit based. I don't like it, but it is much more meritocratic than the ESL.
