What in your opinion would be entertaining to watch about the super league?
the exact same things that a hundreds of millions of people find entertaining about NFL, NBA, NHL. I love all three of those sports, and those closed leagues are for more entertaining and competitive than anything European football has offered up in the past 10-15 years.

I love football, and feel great nostalgia for the ‘90s to early ‘00s when I fell in love with the game. But the influx of absurd money without any real regulation and then regulation that just favours sugar daddy clubs like PSG and ManCity has killed any semblance of competition. It’s a joke now in that regard. I’m all for promotion/relegation, when all the other issues are fixed, but I’m also entirely fine with a new league beginning with a dozen spots closed for the founders for the first decade. They are the biggest clubs, the revenue drivers, and taking all the risk as always. After it is established set up a second division and then have promotion/relegation happen from that division.

The problem with a broke league like Serie A is the smaller clubs are directly or indirectly, too dependent on the Juve's and the Inter's of this world. The moment the big teams go into a slump financially, the rest of the league crumbles as well. Lack of funds within the big teams would mean a poorer product, less appeal and ultimately leading to less TV rights money which clubs like Atalanta are benefitting off currently.
And these small teams don't step up. They're happy with their comfort zone 'safe haven' of finishing in the top 6, collect their prize money, sell their best players to the highest bidder, rinse and repeat. This is what Agnelli meant when he said the situation has been the same for 80 years.
If you are suggesting that Juve's and Inter's are creating a disparity in Serie A with the ESL then I would counter it by saying having a broke Juve or Inter would lead to an even worse product of Serie A.
Besides, the main catchment area of the big 3 is... Serie A ofcourse. That ESL money will directly go towards funding transfers from the smaller sides.

I know I may be trying to paint a positive picture but I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. I want to see what structure they have planned when they talk about the 'football pyramid' before overreacting that they're 'killing' football.
I know what your saying but the history of football has taught us that when one giant falls off another one steps up. Look at the Atalanta’s, the RB Leipzig’s, the Leicester’s.

I’m not against the super league, obviously I want to see big games being played but if you close the competition off it’s repetitive and boring. The best CL seasons are not when the big clubs dominate, it’s when an underdog comes up out of nowhere and unsettled people (actually the best CLs are when Juve win but that never happens).

The money is fine, the competition is fine - but it’s not our right. We need to qualify and we need to pay the penalty if we are not good enough. Right now we aren’t a top team in Italy let alone Europe.

Lol at anyone who thought this would actually happen.

Thanks to the brilliance of Agnelli's love for the SL and Pirlo we will be the most hated team in the EL next season and have no money to build a great team. Who needs a midfield if you can embarrass the club instead.

Guys I don't get you americans.
You're all for women equity and so on but then it's perfectly ok to use women as meat bodies to cheer..
I'd rather have the fans cheer for the team and not a bunch of girls thrown at mass of men to watch and leer....

What’s wrong with celebrating the female form?

There will be a compromise nobody is watching the champions league without Juve in it

This better be fake news
Chelsea on brink of pulling out of European Super League!
This is huge news. Our Chelsea reporter, Jacob Steinberg, reports that Chelsea are preparing a communication to the European Super League to tell them they are withdrawing.
