Some of that isn't English - It's American.

There is nothing called an 'English Muffin' we just have muffins and we don't confuse the two. Also we don't 'ship' things we post them - that really fucking confused me for a while. Also the logic behind 'father pop and mother mop' doesn't add up - if you called a father 'fop' then you can use that.

In short - thats made by an idiot.

It should be called 'Lets face it, Americans have bastardised an already confusing language'

You 'mail' a letter but 'ship' a carton and the muffin thing...people add "Swedish" before the word smorgasbord but no one goes around calling it that in Sweden.

Hella not true.
it is

At least, Americans can take a joke from time to time. Jeez.
I can take a joke - but theres a difference between a joke and being inaccurate.

Hey, this is the funny picture thread, not the boring talk thread.

It wasn't a good joke, if you want to talk about the English language there are much better ways of doing it. Stephen Fry did a series on the English Language which was a lot more interesting and funny than that.

You 'mail' a letter but 'ship' a carton and the muffin thing...people add "Swedish" before the word smorgasbord but no one goes around calling it that in Sweden.
Whats a carton? I only know that word in the context of fruit juice and what you guys call cigarettes...

We don't call sweet muffins 'American' Muffins - I don't see why you guys have to differentiate the two, I can't imagine a situation in which the two get confused. Also it was used for 'english muffins' before sweet muffins - why did you steal it why not just call them 'mini cakes'?

Assholes!

You're just mad because you say everything with a hint of "sweet cheeks" and there's nothing you can do to help it.:D
