goes back to the discussion of how large a level of interference the authorities can have with your life. in a cost/benefit analysis you could claim that through implementing measures which bars people with these diseases to multiply, you can actually eradicate these diseases. individual vs the greater good, the sacrifice of not being able to reproduce for a small percentage of people does good to the race in general in the long haul. problem is that it's a slippery slope to go on banning basic human rights for certain people, really yucky scenario if we get a precedent like that.

Yeah that question is tough one, however, allowing something like (which admitelly has logic behind it) would also make you question your answer to other question the test asked "what happens in a bedroom between two consenting adults should not concern the government" which I'm pretty sure we all strongly agreed with.

I'm not fond of the idea of handing that much power to the state, regardless of how beneficial the hypothetical situation could be.

Theres quite ogvious trend that while most of us differ on how the powers should limit our freedoms, most of us are on not on the capitalist wagon. It feels nice to see this.
