That's the whole thing, he won like 10 slams at first where he had no competition at all.
 :touched:

talking bout djokovic right?

who is his competition?
an all time injured nadal and an aging federer....not forget andy murrey :tuttosport:

the 28 year old federer would have destroyed that prick yesterday.
even the old one had enough break points to break djocobitch into tiny pieces.

...i wonder if the unforced errors have something to do with the fact that federer is getting older :boh:

prime federer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> prime djokovic.
as you can see - its not even close.

I was talking about the most arrogant player on earth, Federer. The beginning of his career was at the time of the retirement ot Sampras and the strongest opponents at that time were Hewitt and Roddick. He collected a bunch of slams but when Nadal got to his game he Roger stopped winning.

Nadal is hypothetically the better tennis player between him and Roger, and would probably have broken the GS record if he had stayed healthy...

...but durability and ability to stay healthy is part of being the Greatest of all time. A big part of it. And even if Nadal is absolutely dominant head to head with Federer, and Federer had a cakewalk of a first few years at the top without any real challengers, his longevity and durability keep him that notch above Rafa still.

It would be interesting to see Nadal recover his form and win a couple more slams. The debate for Greatest tennis player would be much more fascinating with Rafa and Roger both on 17 slams. Imagine Nole getting there too. 3 players from the same generation on 17 slams...

A player as mediocre as Djokovic getting the same amount of titles as Federer would be really sad. Nadal has been class in his prime, no doubt.
The quality of the men's game has really fallen off the map again with Nadal becoming a ghost, and Fed being in his mid-30s now. It's really hard to say just how good Djokovic is for dominating right now like he is. 2011 was very impressive. This year? The lack of competition makes it hard to tell.

nadal is the worst possible matchup for federer, but he's only better on clay. nadal is the best claycourt player ever, and a mediocre fast court player. no surprise that he never won the year-end championship and started to whine about moving it to clay. he could only win wimbledon and hard court gs titles because the courts are slower than ever. on a fast surface, he can be easily dominated by the likes of wawrinka, djokovic, del potro or even tsonga. it's a shame for the sport that a 101% defensive, moonballer player like nadal could win as much gs titles than sampras.

he's one of the most complete players of all times. he lacks the brilliance of federer, but he's every bit as good as nadal ever was. i hope he wins the garros next year. if mr moonballer has achieved the carreer slam then djokovic deserves it.
