Love that haircut from Carlos. No nonsense, no bullshit. :lol:

He took more risks and he was rewarded. It deflated Sinners' confidence. If Carlos can serve like this consistently, the slams will keep coming.

Part of his problem before was that he was spinning the ball too much on his forehead and not hitting through the ball consistently. He really worked on that and it shows. He is now zapping winners again.

Alcaraz totally changed his backhand this year too. He used to start with the racquet up near his head, whereas now he starts with the racquet at his waist and keeps it there. Now he's got a shorter and lower backswing, similar to Agassi and Djokovic.

Alcaraz well worth the win. I got the feeling Sinner wasn't in 100% physical shape coming in from the semi and that strain. He won't use it as an excuse but I don't think you get over it in a couple of days, and it would have taken something miraculous to beat Alcaraz at that level.
