That fight was over in the first minute when Jon landed the knee that would have knocked out most of the fighters. Shogun was preparing to fight rashad, a man half a size of jones (reach) and she still took the fight. He was just caught by the knee and definitely understimated Jones. Watch both Shogun or Machida KO Jones when they meet next. Remember this post and apologise to me when i am proven right

not saying the trash-talk was the main reason for JJ refusing to fight Sonnen but avoiding it was probably the cherry on the cake for him
I think the main reason was that Jones was being careful and took the belt fight seriously, as he should have, and didn't want to go out there unprepared and risk what's worked for just to please adrenaline junkies like us
