True, it made absolutely no sense in giving Vitor the title shot cept for the reason you mentioned. Its not like they HAD to give Jones a fight after hendo pulled out, it didnt save the card anyway.

I dont see the winner of Shogun-gust or Machida-Hendo having to fight again to get the title shot, but if sonnen is getting the next shot then it makes things messy. Who is fighting earlier? Hendo or shogun?

Anways i dont think sonnen can take jones down. Jones is good with the machida style knees when someone is going for the takedown and Chael has a glass jaw. I have huge questions over Jone's cardio and Chael's only chance is to take him down and gass him out and if he does that in the first two rounds i think he can take a decision.
