Good news.....:D

Mancio set for Inter extension
Thursday 12 October, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reports in Italy are suggesting that Inter are set to extend Roberto Mancini’s contract, despite the Nerazzurri’s disappointing start in the season.

Market consultant Lele Oriali is one of the Coach’s top supporters and he has been trying to schedule a meeting between Mancini and owner Massimo Moratti to discuss the details.

Furthermore, the club’s intentions seem to be confirmed by the fact that the Nerazzurri boss has just bought a house in the centre of Milan.

Inter are struggling to find their best form in both the championship and the Champions League and the lack in results has also been put down to an alleged rift between Mancini and his men.

Oriali believes that an extension to the boss’s contract may represent a solution to the crisis, which has led to speculation about possible replacements.

Sven Goran Eriksson is the first man on the list, although Inter could also offer him a job as a team manager and not as a Coach.

Chelsea boss José Mourinho and former Inter tactician Hector Cuper have also been mentioned.

yeah right. CL is going to Leviski Sofia before going to Inter.

Even in that period in the 60s(although that is when they shined with Herrera) there were alot of controversies regarding Moratti's Father who was in charge at that period.Lots of allegations of match fixing and bribes.

It’s win or bust for Mancio
Friday 13 October, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roberto Mancini has admitted that his long-term future at Inter depends on his side winning Serie A or the Champions League this season. :howler:

The Milan giants have had a problematic start to the campaign in both competitions and the Coach knows that another season of failure will not be tolerated – despite owner Massimo Moratti’s frequent reassurances.

I am well aware of the fact that I will not be staying at Inter if I do not win anything this term,” Mancini told La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday. :eyebrows:

“However, I am convinced we can do it and believe we can compete until the end of the season despite what the critics say,” added the former Lazio man.

In the same interview, where Mancini described Juve ‘keeper Gianluigi Buffon as the “most decisive player in the world”, the Coach commented on claims that his club tailed Christian Vieri during his Nerazzurri stay.

“I know how clean Bobo is as a person. As long as we are only talking about late nights out dancing I don’t see any problems,” noted the Sampdoria legend.

But if the club had the suspicion that there was something else going on, maybe more dangerous, then I believe an investigation was normal.

“They may have just wanted to help the player and not punish him.

In the meantime, reports in Italy are suggesting that Inter are set to extend Mancini’s contract in an attempt to solve the team’s crisis – which has also been put down to an alleged rift between the tactician and his men.

However, there has been speculation recently on possible replacements for the under pressure Mancini.

Sven Goran Eriksson, his former tutor at Doria and Lazio, has been linked along with Chelsea boss José Mourinho and former Inter tactician Hector Cuper.

The guy is a joke. Justifying tapping Vieri is just stupid. I hope Moratti is tapping his phone and has cameras in his new Milan house

The Inter Reality Show

The Nerazzurri created a television show in Argentina to find the new Maradona or Messi.

Reality shows have no boundaries and lack of of imagination, as the latest idea comes from a renowned football team: Inter.

The Italian club have in fact produced a reality show for children between 13 and 17 years of age, where a talent scout, Griffa, who had discovered Valdano and Batistuta in the past, will choose the winner.

The prize? He will be signed by Inter and have the opportunity of becoming a star in Serie A.

So far 700 young aspirants have registered their names, but only one will manage to win.
